Game 33 | Cavaliers @ Wizards Jan 4th, 1:00PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good game Jamison and the Wiz crew! Have fun with your 20 win season!

this loss really hurts like any other cavs lost..i hate to have games like this......we settle for so many jumpers as a team and when we miss we play like trash.....cant believe we lost to the wizs

lebron didnt travel, he and campy explained it in the post game...

Could you sum up what was said in the post game? I didn't watch. Thx in advance.

Cavs played terrible! but there is no way this team can win a championship with this roster(without adding), and I think Ferry knows that.

Jamison is owning us, the man is ballin.

Everyone is worried, because we could have just as easily lost the 5 of the last 6 games. Our intensity is not their. We were winning games in the first half in the beginning. Z's injury was a turning point, but I don't think everything has to do with his absence. We lost a spark.

The Wiz announcers broke down the play pretty well after the game, Steve Buckhantz saw it as a travel but Phil Chenier wasn't so sure. The view from behind the basket showed it the best (for once).

It looked really fishy from some angles like LeBron skipped but he didn't, so it really just comes down to which step you considered his 1st step as he brought up the ball just as his foot was coming down.

It could have gone either way, and given how often the refs swallow their whistles on end of game plays I (obviously as a Cavs fan) think they should have done the same for this one ... but the Wiz and their fans have been screaming LE TRAVEL for so long, perhaps the refs finally bought in.

Anyway, if the Cavs took care of business in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quarters it doesn't come down to this. We thought maybe they had the mind frame to play hard for 4 quarters x 82 games, but obviously this just isn't the case as their winter break seems to continue.

The assist total was miserable for a team that's supposedly had some time in practice to work on things that have been cauing them trouble.

The Wiz have been playing much better of late, but if we took them seriously, this shouldn't have happened. If they Cavs are looking forward to Boston... well, they'd better be ready.

This is what Windhorst wrote right after the game:

This is what LeBron had to say about being called for traveling with 2.3 seconds left. The complete blog will be up later. Though, let me just say that I thought it was a travel, though LeBron watched the replay more and more extensively than me. Mike Brown also thought it might have been the correct call.

The official who made the call was Bill Spooner.

LeBron: "Bad call, we all make mistakes and I think I got the wrong end of the bargain. I watched it 10 times after the game and it was clearly a good play. We live with it. I don't know what he said I did, I tried to get an explanation and he just ran to the other side of the floor. I took a hesitation dribble and then two steps...There were some questionable calls out there."

The play looked a bit awkward to me, and it looked (in real time) like the 1st step was the first of three not the last of the steps associated with his dribble. Close call, maybe they don't call it at home.

But if the Cavs played with any urgency or blocked out to get rebounds....

Why don't we ask why Delonte missed the open 3 from the corner? Etc. etc.

I hope the Cavs use their extra time this week to get in some practice on Monday/Tuesday.

Hey, its Washington DC... three quarters of the paying audience were professional lobbyists, lawyers, and spin doctors... they wouldn't live in that town unless they are convincing and influential.

I do agree with the rest of your post as well... our guards need to figure this thing out. Since Z was injured, LeBron seems to have lost that sense of trust in his guards making plays for him to get the ball in the best possible position.

2,000 posts. Yay me!

it looked type of weird to me,i didnt know if it was a walk or not but it look like a million steps so i agree with the refs...but they should have left that one slide since they have been robbing lebron & the team on many, many plays

its sad how the game game down to lebron traveling when we should have won this game
