Game 33 | Cavaliers @ Wizards Jan 4th, 1:00PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
we should have won this game

I don't know about that. Could have won it, sure. Should have won it? Maybe based on talent and expectations but definitely not on performance today.

I for one was surprised Brother Red missed that 3 in the corner...

I hate it when people say that the refs affected the game, but I really feel that they did on this one.

The 4th quarter was a one-sided Wiz-fest tragedy by the officials, especially Bill Spooner who seemed to be the worst offender. Mike Brown had a seriously legit beef with all the weak calls, and the travel on Lebron was bogus after seeing all the replays.

The Cavs shot themselves in the foot with bad play in the first, but as a good team, they did exactly what they should to fight back in it and when, and the refs shot it down. Sad really.

This team has been terrible as of late. With this type of play, We will be lucky to win ONE playoff game.

I missed this game. What happened? Did we come out flat like the previous 4 or 5 games before Chicago?

Cavs shot more FTs than the Wizards (who didn't get some calls, too, such as when McGuire was raked across the head by LeBron on the defensive rebound).

And the Cavs managed to shoot 14-23 from the "charity" stripe.

Refs may not have helped, but the Cavs took little advtg of what they were given.

does anyone on here really think that Lebron DIDNT travel on that last play? If thats not a travel I dont know what is.........that aside that call did not blow the game.........you could tell from the onset that the Cavs just didnt have the energy. For whatever reason they were just going through the motions.

I think it was Maximus who said during the fourth quarter someone needed to take a flagrant or something to get the guys going.......Mike Brown was reading and did his part.......but why should it take the coach getting tossed to start playing defense and start playing aggressive on offense?

As some have pointed out this game reminded me of the cavs from last year.........just didnt seem to want it and once we started playing tough we were already too far behind. That was the characteristic that everyone clamored over the celtics from last year--it seemed like the "brought it" EVERY game.......Cavs seemed to be adhering to that early on but lately have become a bit complacent.

However, we still only have 6 losses--cant be too upset about how the season has gone thus far.....we all knew eventually the cavs were going to lose a game they shouldnt

Uh-huh.

Read into it what you will. They had one game on the road. They're coming home. Getting ready for Boston and the hype.

They simply didn't show up today. No rebounding. No effort.

10 more rebounds and they win. If they equal the Wiz on the boards they win. If Mo shoots for shit we win. If Delonte hits some shots we win. If Boobie stops dribbling we win. If Sasha sits we win.

You get it. The pathetic Wiz tried like hell to hand us the game. they were 3-16 in the 4th.

Looking ahead. You don't bring it, you don't win. I know we'll hear that. LeBron's gotta be more like Mike and get down on his mates. The intensity was missing.

Moo

Quite a few apparently. You might care to describe what you saw that convinced you so much that it definitely was a foul rather than just implying everyone who didn't see it your way is an idiot.

As I said in my post, it was a bang-bang play and could have been called either way depending whether you saw LeBron gather before or after he put his foot down. It looked like LeBron may have hopped or landed on two feet from the side view, but from the reverse angle he clearly did not.

The refs thought Bronny hop stepped but he actually took 1 huge step, it wasn't a travel. LeBron even explained it for like 10 mins after the game.

We lost this due to bad coaching. Z or not, we can't get outrebounded like that, it's because Ben was out most of the 4th q and we gave up alot of defensive rebounds. Sucks.

people are entitled to their opinion of the last play and I am by no means saying youre an idiot if you feel it wasnt a travel.....i too wish they hadnt called it a travel but in viewing the play as objectively as possible i saw lebron take 4 steps without dribbling and think it was a travel.....i guess the main point of the post was that the game wasnt lost on that call/non-call

Didn't get to see the game but from what I'm hearing it sounds like another underwelming performance. Somehow we have to get refocused and get back to playing better

I think Jamison was a big problem. Neither AV or Ben was able to take him out of the game. Ben really did a bad job on him and did the last game too. Caron got going, but then he was shut down. I know the offense was a problem, but these guys should not have been able to score like they did. I would say that everyone is in a slump, and we have really lost the confidence we had. Move the dang ball.

Were 27-6 in an 82 regular season game. Sure its the Wiz but not that worried. Z was out and we still have the pieces for a major trade to improve on. Right now im tired of losing in the second round so i could care less about the regular season. We have the two seed now and thats all we need. We've got LBJ, great defense, i think were good. And does anyone really think there gonna call that call on Lebron in the playoffs. Doubt it.

As much as I think we need to deal Wally and/or Sasha some people freak out over loses way to much

Look at the positive. We finished the game great.

Lebron played good
Boobie gave us a spark off the bench :)

When Brown got mad we showed that we could take over the game and we did but fell up short.

We have lock down defense when we need it

Lebron can score at will

Its not like we are gonna have to see the Wiz in the playoffs again

THe magic lost
