Game #48| Cavs @ Knicks| Wednesday Feb. 4th, 2009| 7:30pm [ET]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The press keep mentioning a Kareem Abdul Jabbar TD that went for fifty points.

Unbelievable game by Lebron, but Kobe still got 61 points in only 37 minutes! He basically sat out a whole quarter.

Well I'm sure if Kobe had played 7 more minutes he would have gotten the 10 rebounds and 7 assists he needed for a triple-double. :jerkoff:

Haha, over at Club Lakers there are people trying to deny that LeBron's game was better. One guy keeps on telling people to realize that 50/10+/10+ has never been done before and thus it's better but everyone is in denial.

There have been a couple times in the past when a reporter asked LeBron if he knew he was close to a triple-double, he usually says "No, I'm just trying to get my team a victory..." stuff. Then you read that bench mates will tell him that he only needs "X" to get a triple-double.

Point is, there is NO WAY that LeBron wasn't aware of what he needed... NO WAY his team-mates weren't aware of what he needed.... and probably no way the Knicks weren't aware of what he needed.

All Hail the King and let's hope the next few days off lets the team get back to their basics... cause they'll need to play a bit more team ball vs Kobe and the kids on Sunday.

dont forget the addtional 39 points to go for wilts 100. hell had he played all 48 he probably would have had 125 15 15.

Not our best game but we still got the job done. No one had a good game other than Lebron and that has to change. Oh by the way when is Delonte coming back?

Anyone figured out how the New York media will somehow change this story into LeBron in NY 2010?

yeah they'll say it was an outstanding audition for lebron james future knick. SMH @ their tomfoolery.

*looks at avi and hopes changeling is female*

A nice honor of course, but personally I was a little irritated. Lebron had 52 points and the next highest scorer was Z with 15. What was worst of all was the assist ratio of Lebron's 11 to Mo's (our POINT GUARD) lowly two.

A terrible Cavs game. I hope this is only an MSG kind of thing (and even if it is, I still hate it)

Ask them one simple question:

In a hypothetical game of basketball, which of these two players had a better game:

Player A: 9 pts, 0 rebounds, 3 assists.
Player B: 0 pts, 10 rebounds, 11 assists.

That's a no-brainer.

I don't hate it, still an exciting game to me, and LeBron went off and solidified his MVP. As long at it's only an MSG thing I don't mind it...

Lebron:

52 points
11 assists
10 rebounds
2 blocks
44 minutes

Kobe:

61 points
3 assists
0 rebounds
1 block
37 minutes

And yes Kobe did it in 37 minutes, but Lebron only shot the ball like 2 more times than Kobe in the extra minutes. What Kobe did points wise was ridiculous but i'll take Bron's statline anyday.

A-ha, it seems Kareem did not get a triple double when he topped fifty... he was shy on the rebounds.
