Game 52: Cleveland Cavaliers (31-20) @ Indiana Pacers (18-32)| Feb 6th, 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The game does not come down to the final minute of the game when you were up by 10 the entire game. One player can not be blamed for a loss. This was a team loss. Team ball was not played at the end.

LeBron giveth, LeBron taketh away.

so glad we rested him so he could play shitty defense.

Yeah, for THIS $h!t-show, we could have left the starters in and beat the Clippers by 30 last night...

Team ball was not played from the mid 3rd till the end. Worst stretch of basketball we've all seen for a while.

Meanwhile Kevin Love had 5 points. What a disappointment.

Not even going to bother, but if you honestly think Delly plays more than 10 minutes a night come playoff time you're off your rocker. Continue the witch hunt.
Come playoff time you need 8 guys in a rotation. Kyrie, JR, LBJ, Love, Mozzy, Shump, TT. The way things look right now Delly will be the 8th man. And if that's the case, and he is playing 10-15 mins per game, I'm okay with that. I think he is probably equally as talented, albeit in different ways, as Norris Cole. I also think Norris Cole was a real liability for Miami in the playoffs. So maybe you're right. But if you honestly think Delly makes a meaningful, holistic, positive contribution to this team you are equally off your rocker. So maybe we just enjoy being off our respective rocker's together?

Oh well. Time to start another streak. The last one began with the Lakers.. look who we're playing next.

He missed a 3 at the end of the game too....but apparently that miss doesn't matter.
Of course it matters. At least it didn't take him 22 seconds to launch.

Moving on here. Shit happens, and the shit definitely came together in the last few minutes of the game.

New streak starts Sunday.

Jesus Christ. Again, how is shooting 40% from 3 and having an assist to turnover ratio over 3 not a positive contribution to a team? I'm done in here, losing games always beings out absurd shit in game threads.

How is having a single digit PER, a negative plus/minus, a 112 defensive rating, a total of 4 SF drawn all season, a 35% FG percentage, making under 10% of his shots unassisted, below single digit win-shares, and a 2P% under 28% helping us? His positive contribution is easily outweighed by his horrendous negative contribution. The thing is, Larry Hughes was a great perimeter defender, 40 year old Shaq was a nice big body to have in the paint, Dion plays basketball really hard and was great last year, but these three players and Delly have something in common. Holistically -- even though certain aspects of their games are beneficial -- they hurt (are hurting) us.

I am seriously worriec about Love. He looks unhealthy, uninspired, just shitty overall. He missed a number of open looks that could stem the tide in this game.

He looks like a vet in his last legs.

Really unctuous loss.

First of all, we lead the entire game until the fourth and we built the lead in much the same way we built a lot of our leads in this last 10 game dominant stretch. We built a big lead in the first, controlled the game for all of the first and second quarters but were minus 8 in the last two minutes of quarters one and two and that came back to bite us as not closing quarters almost always does.

We had multiple 11, 12, 13 point leads and never extended them, partly because we almost always go for the haymaker three point daggers and often miss. Wish we ran more plays to try and extend that lead. James tried to get everyone involved in the third, confident in the win, but really should have tried to put the hammer down. I Thought the game was over when we went up 81-72 but again we didn't play 2-3 good possessions to end it.

2. Not sure why Delly was still in for all those minutes. His defense wasn't as effective today although some of that is due to some fluke shots they hit. He couldn't hit any of his open threes and...

3. Neither could anyone else. So many damn open threes missed and it seems to happen even in games when we blow teams the fuck out.

4. Love should have just sat the second half. He wasn't moving at all out here.

5. WTF was up with the calls? We get only 12 FTs? Taking 2 from James? James not getting calls at the rim? Tha bullshit shot by Hill? Yes, we fucked up and lost a highly winnable game (which followed many of the same patterns our other games did) which might cost is in seeding down the stretch.

6. Miles needs to fuck off.

Oh and yes that 4 point play was so fucking ridiculous. That was obviously not a continuation. The guy was fouled before, and after being fouled he decided to throw the ball to the basket. Pathetic. Pretty much decided the game.

While you don't want to blame the refs for the game they made a lot of momentum swinging calls and you could tell they were swayed by the crowd. The obvious Delly charge call being reversed and making it a 3 pt play. The Lebron offensive foul call that could have been a 3 point play and gave us back the lead. The 4 point play continuation on what looked like a moving pick by Hibbert.
