Game 52: Cleveland Cavaliers (31-20) @ Indiana Pacers (18-32)| Feb 6th, 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I like the Pacers so this isn't me being sour against a team I don't like, but for a few years now they've been allowed to play a certain style of ball in their building that no one else is allowed to play.

After sleeping on this one I have come to the conclusion that this is what caused the loss. Not LBJ, not Delly, not Love, not TT, not Ki.....but committing a sacrilege against the Cavs gods.

It also took the mojo from the Shumperting - a different hairstyle in the Shumpert streak?! sheesh... ;)

No doubt.

Most especially against LeBron led teams. Hell, it's the only reason they were able to challenge the Heat at all the last couple seasons. They are allowed to play 90's style Knicks basketball at home against LeBron and like you pointed out, no one else is allowed to do so. It makes games very frustrating to watch there. Can't wait to do it all over again in two weeks.

After sleeping on it, it's a good loss from the standpoint of - these guys have to learn to win games like that, it will be crucial come playoff time. Calls going against you, random scrub gets hot - stand up to it and win anyway. Don't crumble into ISO ball, keep running your sets.

On to Sunday.

Few plays come to mind especially LeBron offensive foul, Mozgov offensive foul screen, and the bailout 4 point play where Hibbert has basically brickwalled Kyrie. The bailouts plus tons of shitty play from Love, LeBron and others and late coaching decisions has led us to this loss. If that's what it takes to bring us down in 48 minutes, I'm not going to be mad. Easy to correct in the following games.
Plus the Delly charge that got changed to a block and And-1.

Game is on LP replay.

Fuckin CJ Miles man. Solomon Hill also came to play

The reffing in this game was lopsided and atrocious, but that will happen on the road and we mostly played like shit, we deserved the loss.

My only concern from this game was the pattern I have seen where when the games get tight, we immediately panic and revert to ISO P&R basketball. It turns into Lebron and Kyrie taking turns to close out the game.

They are good enough that it often works, but in a playoff style grind out series against the elite teams in the West for example, that could be our downfall and it also turns Love into an after-thought.

Some of that is on Blatt, some on LBJ/Kyrie, but we should keep an eye on that and make sure we are seeing some progress.
