Game Thread | Game #10 | Cavs @ Clippers | Nov. 7, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Okorros’ offense really inspired the rest of the Cavs. JBB with a poor decision and DG, bro wtf. Of well, they should be over it by tomorrow. Hope lesson is learned

Kings in trouble Wednesday night. Can’t wait to wash this taste. Awful loss.

Time to stop trying to develop Okoro. We are now contenders and we shouldnt be trying to develop players his caliber. Send him to the G League if we can but no reason for the guy to get minutes especially when i think Stevens is a better option.

He’s in his 4th season. He’s not the only reason the Cavs lost, but he’s the biggest reason. I never said he won’t improve. I sure hope there are not more games like tonight - that would be a disaster.

I highly doubt I’ll watch Mitchell blow a game in that fashion almost single-handedly.
All my point is, there will more growing pains..but I'm not worried about DG or this team at all. We were due and ref job or not, this is a looooong season. We haven't reached final form yet and we still need a starting 3 who's consistent. Enjoy the ride. They'll learn

This is not on JB. I placed this on the refs and Darius. Especially Darius. As the PG, your job is to stabilize the team. He went hero ball and turns the ball over too many times. He wants to be Steph so bad thayhe fails to realize he should be Chris Paul.

Mobley was a -20 today. This has been an ongoing trend all season. Something is clearly not working in terms of the lineups for him to be consistently registering terrible +/-s every game compared to the rest of the starters.

Cavs had 10 more assists than the Clippers (29 to 19)

Cavs had 17 more rebounds than the Clippers (48 to 31)

Cavs outshot the Clippers from the field and from three (51.2 percent to 50.6 percent, 47.1 percent (16 makes) to 44.7 percent (17 makes)).

There were way, way too many turnovers. Clippers may have scored 30ish points off turnovers.

Shades of the Wizards game late in regulation. Turnovers galore erased a sizeable lead in a few minutes.

They'll have to execute better. Not much to be done with the calls, but the offensive execution can improve and I expect it to.

What i don't understand is why camp him out at the 3 point line? And If he does get the ball he needs to do his best Ben Simmons impersonation.

I know they are; I wasn’t speaking in a literal sense. But some of the shit that gets said about individual players when this kind of stuff happens is ridiculous.

I think a lot of the criticism is fair. But you're right, certain posts talking about Garland not being the one just because of that two minutes is unnecessary. Was a lapse in judgement and lack of leadership from the whole coaching staff IMO. I think this was an important loss for introspection. The team is far from perfect and the only way we're going to get to that point is with some adversity. Every win has papered over the cracks that Okoro is not good enough for this roster but is often one of the primary players off the bench. Things like that need to be resolved but no one is going to do anything about it if we keep winning...

JBB didn’t manage the fourth quarter very well. You can’t have a game where Okoro gets as many minutes as Wade and Cedi combined. And Love playing 25 is too many. He usually starts giving you diminishing returns after 20. And the challenge was stupid
