That's a good locker room. Can't take that away from JBB. Excellent speech.

Absolutely. Small things like this show that JBB not only cares about developing individuals as players, but that he can do it in a way that benefits the team. These are the types of leaders that get buy-in from their players. Pretty certain he's having those individual development convos with everyone on the back of the bench as well which builds a lot of trust.

Mitchell is a superstar very underrated in the nba holy fuck we got a steal
Calling him a “steal” implies that we gave up very little to get him. In fact, we gave up a good amount.

He was a great acquisition and the trade was probably fair, but he wasn’t a “steal”. It was likely worth it from our standpoint, because it’s very hard for the Cavs to actually ACQUIRE superstars. Now that we have 3 actual/potential superstars, we are in a position to contend.

No. Calling it a "steal" means we massively improved the team with the trade, which we did. So yes, it was a steal.

If I recall correctly, pre-trade you predicted 35 wins. How many are you predicting now?

This clip cuts out the best part at the end where Serena says “congrats on getting the junkyard dog chain tonight”, and LeVert (genuinely) says “oh I dunno if it’s gonna be me”, and Mitchell gives him a look and goes “lol dude it’s gonna be you for sure, without a doubt”

“I think we’re farther along than we expected at this point." - Donovan Mitchell

4-1 without Garland and with Mobley off to a slow start. Yeah, definitely farther along and only going to get better.

I think it wont be as smooth as we think to incorperate Garland, but thats ok. We will lose some length, but Mitchell will play off ball allot more without him. In Game 1 with Garland, Mirchell was passive, trying to let this be Garland's team. I respect that, I know he is trying to play his role, but honestly I see clearly now Mitchell's role is Alpha, even over Garland. They will have to figure out how to make that work, but they will.

Think about this though, if staggered right, we can have 2 of 3 of Mirchell, LeVert and Garland on the court of all times and zero need for Okoro. Exciting stuff is happening and eventually we bring in Rubio? We know how well Garland and Rubio played together last year.

This team reminds me of the late 80's and early 90's Cavs team, we have good players everywhere including the bench with Ehlo and Hot Rod except this team could be better.

Mitchell probably had the best numbers of his career playing alongside Rubio as well.

It may not be as smooth to start, but in the long run this’ll be better for everyone. When DG comes back Mitchell doesn’t have to focus so much on getting everyone else involved and can focus on being an efficient killer every time he has the ball, and Garland can take over the burden of running the offense and getting everyone good looks and performing at a high level offensively, especially the bigs.

The LeVert Game. Travelling and I caught a bit of it on stream. Dogg. This was everything I loved about last season and more.

If you’re not still feeling good about last night and looking for more Cavs, go ahead and slide into Sunday with those Charlie Browns vibes.
Listened to this on the drive yesterday. Really enjoyed the Brad Daugherty part. Rich keeps hitting references that I recall.
