Game Thread | Game #67 | Celtics @ Cavs | March 6, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
After watching the Boston-NYK game yesterday, Cavs bigs should beware of a quick
double team when they get the ball with their back to the basket. Celtics had someone
come up on the spin side of Randall multiple times to double that resulted in turnovers.

I'm sure the Cavs' players were watching that game and hopefully will employ the same tactic against Julius on March 31 when they play the Knicks. If you don't double him he'll just throw a shoulder into the defender, knocking him back, then shoot a fallaway.

This is a scheduled loss, but the Celtics are also the deepest and most evenly balanced bench in the NBA. What they were able to do at the deadline just isn't fair. Trying to tread water without Robert Williams was their only weakness before.

I think it's their year, barring injury. The Cavs are going to at war with these guys for a long time.
We matchup really well with Boston our biggest problem is Milwaukee and Philly but once this team mature a little bit more I think we can matchup against anyone

They are so deep, they didn't play Robert Williams or Malcolm Brogdan last night and still nearly beat the Knicks best effort. They have routinely sat two rotation players since that last Cavs game in Boston. I'm just giving the roster credit. I'm hopeful Horford, Smart and their veterans wear down.

Boston was missing Williams and Brogdon, but the Knicks played without Brunson, which is much more significant. Plus, the Celtics had them on their home floor. They should have won that game.

The Knicks were missing Jalen Brunson, who averages 24 points and 6 assists per game. Neither team was at full strength.

I hope their veterans wear down, too, especially since Williams is out for a couple of weeks.
