Gilbert buying Indians soon ?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If Oakland gets a new stadium... wouldn't... you know... Oakland play in that new stadium? :chuckles:

what are you talking about?

What are you talking about? You said if Oakland/Tampa got new stadiums, the Indians are the team most likely to move to those stadiums. Why wouldn't the teams that currently play in those cities play in their new stadiums?

I never said that. Do you read at a 3rd grade level?

You do know the A's are trying to move to San Jose right? And the Indians have much more history than the A's.

Where does it say that we would move to Tampa/Oakland? Troll.

I could see a new owner coming in here and moving the team after 5 years of this shitty attendance. I hope Tampa and Oakland never get a new stadium otherwise I would say we would the team looked to be moved.

And they fail every time which is good.....Over 100 years of baseball in Cleveland and only 2 WS Titles. Ballin'

So what the fuck are you saying here then? Why would Oakland and Tampa getting new stadiums be relevant to the Indians moving?

If Tampa and Oakland get new stadiums that means they're locked into that city for years. People are always talking about moving Tampa or Oakland to for example a city in North Carolina but if they (Tampa/Oakland) get a new stadium Cleveland and Toronto will now be the teams people in cities that don't have a MLB team but want one will want to be moved. In 10 years Progressive Field will be 28 years old without a renovation, no fan support and a declining city. I'm not saying it will happen anytime soon but never say never. Things need to change. Like many people have said here before, Cleveland can't support 3 sports teams anymore.

We beat out six other teams in attendance this year. According to your logic, they should all move too? Exception is Florida since they got a new ballpark, though I can see their attendance being shitty still.

If this teams value is considered low, there will be no shortage of bidders.

Contrary to popular belief, I would welcome new ownership, including Dan Gilbert.

I am however aware of the fact that new ownership will not mean an influx of talent via free agency. This teams bread and butter will still be the draft and Latin America.

The team's value has to be low.

That doesn't mean Dolan will be willing to sell at a low price.

Well Baltimore can actually attract fans when decent, KC just remodeled Kauffman and Toronto is in the same situation as us like I said before.

We've already established Corey has a 3rd grade reading level. According to your logic, prior to 2004 the Red Sox should have moved since they hadn't won since 1918.

No that doesn't support my logic at all. They were still selling out games like the Cubs do now.

One of your points was that Oakland had more history than the Indians because they were more successful. So before 2004 were the A's more storied than the Red Sox since they were dealing with the curse of the Bambino?

The way you really judge a franchise's history is by the movies made about the team. Major League is way better than Moneyball.
