Gooden+Snow=Marbury???

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No way to Marbury. This is even less likely since the Knicks just got Jalen Rose to run their offense through. Wouldn't be enough PT for Snow anyway.

The best way to sum it up is, a guy that I hate, Stephen A Smith, laid in to Marbury when he was on his show. Marbury said he was the best PG in the NBA and Smith let him have it.

It was a thing of beauty.

Mebury makes 2x what Nash makes, 3x what cassell makes, nearly 4x what Billups makes. Is that value for our money? Those guys are 10x the player mebury is.

I dont know if there is much to discuss here. This is the only place i read anything about marbury even being traded.

It would be tough to match up salaries to get a trade for Marbury done.

I can't see the Cavs having interest in Marbury. He doesn't seem to fit what they're trying to do.
There's no doubt Marbury does have a ton of talent but it's also true that he seems to be missing something and that every team he's on gets better after he's gone. That pretty much says it all about him. The idea of adding a talent like Marbury doesn't sound bad at first but when you look deeper you see it wouldn't be a good move.

MeBury is a cancer. I don't want him on this team, we don't need him on this team. I'd much rather trade Drew Gooden to Chicago for Chris Duhon. At the same time, if we trade Gooden, I want a big body in return. Gooden for Duhon/Sweetney works. Sweetney is averaging 9ppg and 5rpg in 21mpg. I think given a starting role with 30-40 minutes a game, he could average what Drew is. You ask then why bother trading Gooden? Well, Sweetney is tougher. His big body is more intimidating than Gooden. Plus, we get the PG we've been craving.

Actually the Salaries are damn near close enough for government work. Snow+Gooden+Ira works... The Cavs might even have a trade exception left over from the Jiri Welsch trade. If they do then Snow+Gooden+Wilks works. Its not logical but we can get to Marbury's salary quite easy.

However, unlike this rumor the Bulls/Cavs rumor is 100% legit. The Cavs turned down a package of Sweetney and Duhon for Gooden. The Cavs want no part of Sweetney or Harrington and are telling the Bulls that if they want Gooden they need to bring a third team to the big dance.

OK, since Cleveland want a third team brought into it because they don't want Sweetney or Harrington, how about this trade:

Cleveland Gets:
Chris Duhon
Reggie Evans

Chicago Gets:
Drew Gooden
Vitaly Potapenko

Seattle Gets:
Mike Sweetney

Ohhh i like this trade and how do we know that packaged was turned down? However Evans and Duhon is just what the doctor ordered:D

he has had some very bad luck....but its hard to not imagine the possibility.....just think abotu the team with Stephon....im not saying I want this trade but Steph Larry and LeBron with Z down low is prettty fun to think about....but his contract is terrible and we would have to make a sign and trade with Gooden getting his raise to even think about this

Marbury is a talent that I would hold some interest for, but his contract is just horrendous, so the story starts and ends right there.

Ferry knocks back a Duhon and Sweetney for Gooden deal? Sweetney must have a bad name for himself out there, because to me that trade is a good one for Cleveland. Evans and Duhon though is a nice deal if we can make it happen, although Reggie is an unrestricted free agent come seasons end.

if Reggie worked out we could give him the MLE right?? I am too scared to take on Steph and his contract and his bad luck

We could resign Reggie for more then the MLE as he is our free agent. I do not believe we have any special restrictions, however any team with cap room can certainly nab him. He is purely a role player, so he isn't one I'd want for any more then 5-6 million per season.

Duhon
Hughes
James
Evans
Z

that line up looks really good to me
give evans 30 or 35 for 5 years and we are set

wait...i dont know what im talking about....I just wish I knew what Fedrry was thinking
