How to IMPROVE RCF?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is not necessarily a suggestion to improve the forum, but it is a thought of mine that would keep the main forum cleaner. The Miami Heat forum I have visited has a Wade specific section where they post articles about Wade only. With the main Cavs forum most people post there LeBron articles there and it causes clutter IMO, especially when people post the same one two or three times.

I think the people who do post LeBron threads should know that this is a cavs "team" forum not a "LeBron" forum. I like your idea though. Maybe sticky a thread somewhere?

I agree. The thing that I think a lot of Cavs fans do is post LBJ articles in the Cavs talk area because some are only LeBron fans. That is not to knock the Bron fans, I am actually cool with that it just does cause a bit of clutter when tying to find certain threads about the actual team. Come to think of it a LeBron thread would not clear up as much space as I would think it would. I thought about it and there are 13 or 14 other people on this roster that people can post articcles about (if they can find any). So why not have a Cavalier players article sticky or something to that effect, because having one purely for LeBron makes it seem like a waste because there are other players on the team that may have articles about them as well.

Add a seperate subsection for myself to vent in. That would be awesome.

Had we not drafted LeBron, there is a great chance that this site would have never been made. It would surely not be what it is today without him, not even in the same atmosphere.

LeBron is the only reason why the Cavaliers are even relevant.

(coming from a lifelong Cavs fan)

we could ban said people, i think that would be an improvement

Although to be fair sometimes those LeJames fans become Cavs fans. Many of my freinds are Cavs fans because of LeBron so any thing that helps the team I suppose is good. Not that I don' think that being a player fan is stupid because I do, but I do think that being a player fan has its advantages as well (for the team).

Oh, fix the report function. It hasn't worked in close to 2 years if I recall correctly. And again, my own little private section to bitch, complain, and vent would be excellent. You know half of you people would like to read my rants just to laugh.

What I'd love to see would be a drop down filter on the main posts page so I could hide new threads by catagory. EX. I don't give a warm cup of spit about what the Browns are doing but I do want to see the Cavs and Indians and Off-Topic threads. That's my nickle...

I'm a regular poster on Spurstalk.com (I'm not even a Spurs fan). I think it's a great forum for a couple reasons- mainly that it is uncensored. It's not even much of a problem, they just ask you not to curse unless you have to. It has really turned into a all around NBA board and not just a Spurs board as there are fans from just about every NBA market that post on there regularly.

I am new to RCF, and the only main problems I have with it (which are minor because I like the site) is it seems to cluttered. I don't see why there has to be a "Cavs Forum" a "Gameday Forum" a "video" so on and so forth. Part of the problem with posting here is that you don't know where you should post it as there are 15 different forums. I mention that other site because they have things pretty organized- a Spurs forums for all spurstalk including game threads, trade ideas, and announcements. A NBA forum which has fans from all over the NBA welcome to post. A MLB, NFL, and College Section as well as a Political and General forum.

Most of the problems with these forums are that everyone is scared of trolls, or being trolled. Over there, they just let trolls do their thing and it's not a problem since the majority of the people ignore them. Doing this allows fans from all different fan bases to post. I think sometimes worry too much about trolls. I feel like even though I'm a Cavs fan I'll be banned from here about talking bad about the Cavs.

I don't know if any of this is a suggestion, but I think you have a great forum but it could use a little tidying up. I kind of also wish more people from other teams were allowed in and welcomed like other boards I post at

they also have a sportsbook and arcade to play around with when you are bored

IMO, you're definition of "too cluttered" actually illustrates that RCF is in fact very organized. :chuckles:

Also, we don't tolerate trolls because they bring down the overall quality of the site. We like to keep things on topic. If that means excluding trolls then so be it.

And if you didn't notice, we too have a big arcade here. You can access it from the Quick Links dropdown menu above.

Oh yeah I see it...cool

I'm not saying to welcome all Trolls, but I kind of like having other team's fans around. I love to talk Cavs, but sometimes I like talking about the competition.
