$85K is pretty good if one perhaps isn't needing to rent a place as well.

Trucking was my backup job if I didn’t get my current job. I’ve known a few. The first couple years suck ass when the only jobs you can get are cross country but after you gain some experience you can get local jobs to have a somewhat normal life.

I couldn't be a trucker and have to deal with all the vehicles on the road and drivers of all sorts. Traffic jams, accidents, various other delays, construction everywhere, summer vacation traffic, screw all that. Not for me, but I'm thankful for those who do it and the service they provide.

I think I'd love trucking honestly. The only thing I know I wouldn't like is winter mountain driving.

I visited one of the locations for Knight in Arizona. They built a basketball court, bowling alley, and gaming area for their truck drivers. Was definitely the nicest lounge I'd ever seen for drivers.
