If/When we do deal Wally...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Even though it is HIGHLY unprobable, i would like to see us snatch Dirk Nowitzki from Dallas.

He is my #2 favorite player, and definitely deserves a championship.
Well anything is possible so we'll see if this ever happens.

Dallas and Denver are the two situations I'm keeping my eye on, in hopes of implosion (Toronto as well, but personally, I think Bosh would be had easier as a FA).

Not that I really think that either is a likely trading partner, but a guy can dream, right? Neither team has gotten out of the first round.... they've been trying the same thing over and over... with the same results... might be time to cut ties and move on... might have to take back a bloated contract (Nene/KMart)...

see, I can talk myself into it!

anyways, I don't think we'll know who the Cavs are targeting until we see how the season shakes out. It's defiinitely not a good sign that we're already hearing stories about Ben's back, but I think we'll have to see how Sasha/West/Wally hold up at the 2 before we start making PF or SG lists.

That being said, I think Raja Bell could be a possibility (if Phoenix plays as old as I think they will), as will Miki Moore, the Oklahoma PFs and Darko.

We are NOT going to get an all-star for Wally's contract -- regardless of whether or not we throw in Sasha or someone else. All-stars put asses in the seats, and a franchise isn't going to trade away revenue in exchange for an expiring contract -- it's a wash financially. They are better off to keep the payroll higher, and keep fans happy and paying for tickets.

At best, we shore up some of our weaknesses with Wally's contract, but even that is wishful thinking. Why would we risk shaking up the roster so late in the season when we have the potential to be great with the one we currently have? It took a while last year for the team to learn to play together, and we really didn't gel as a team until the first round of the playoffs.

I have nothing against shipping out worthless-Wally for a younger/faster/stronger player at either PF or SG, but lets not throw out the baby with the bathwater. We have a really strong team with a lot of depth -- or at least more so than any previous season -- and we need to let things fall into place before shaking up the roster in potentially dangerous and ineffective ways.

Camby man would be a perfect fit. Collison's contract is ridiculous. 6 years I believe.

collison is signed for 3 more years at about 6.5 per. We would need to give up something of value for him as he is a player that can play both center and pf and get you 10 points and 8 boards and is signed to a very reasonable contract. No bad contract discount there. But Colison is 28 and would be perfect in my opinion to put in our big man rotation.

Only thing I could see is they are at about 34 million next season, but most likely will be looking to resign mason so his cap hold will be about 10 million. (the others they can renounce). That would give okc 10 players and 15 million in cap space. If they trade colison for an expiring (sasha and filler) they would have 21 million, enough to sign a max player, plus another quality player. A sg like Mike Miller, Joe Johnson, Ginobili, and/or a big like boozer, okur, al harington, or haslem might be appealing to them to add to their core of young talent.

Melo isn't really realistic, but if the Nuggets are sucking which they will we could very well trade for him. It would take a lot of picks but it would for sure be worth it. The only thing i'm timid about Melo is his work ethic, and a possibility that because he is Bron's freind that his attitude could rub off on him.

Another reason Melo could be bad is because of his position. I still think that Bron could play SG and that would cause some huge miss match's for other teams (what a way to shore up SG) but i'm not sure if Melo's D is what we need.

Salmons and Spencer Hawes would sure us up all the way around, giving up sasha and wally. To make any salaries work would require a third team. I dunno, but how in the hell did I get pulled into a freaking trade fantasy post. Damnit wth I thought the Cavs Talk forums. RchfldCavRaised did you fck with my computer to redirect me! Tell me your not still mad!:shakehead

LOL

Yes, new season, time to let go of all last season and all political RCF grudges.

I have to make room for some new posters in the Rchfld doghouse, so Ron G my good man and veteran, you are free to go

If we could land Carmelo Anthony, I really doubt his work ethic will get in the way of a dynasty. LeBron and Melo are two of the best in the NBA no doubt, and they would dominate the league for years together.

To think LeBron will get a bad attitude and Melo won't work hard enough will effect us is silly. I wouldn't worry about it when you take into account the ridiculous amount of positives.

I agree, but if LBJ lands in jail how good is the team going to be?

You didn't just say that... I'm gonna pretend you have a larger brain then to think Melo is gonna land LBJ in jail.

I definatel do, but i'm just saying i'm young I know what can happen chillen around with a couple of freinds. So do you. Haven't you ever hit a blunt or stole some shit? Thought so man that was my point.

No... and I know lots of friends that have.

LeBron isn't retarded either, and if anything, he will be rubbing off on Melo (sounds wrong I know) and forcing him to work harder and even try more on defense.

Maybe, but isn't this sort of a reason people don't want Randolph here? Well why is Melo alright but ZBo is not? (not that he'll rub off on Bron, but be a cancer so to speak)

Well next time you see a 25-7-3 stat line be considered a cancer we'll talk.

Zaxh Randolph has terrible character and is not near the level of talent that Melo has, and Randolph is worse in both respects.

Melo would not be a cancer next to LeBron ****ing James, drop it.

Man you can't teach an old dog new trick you need to drop it. I'm not saying I wouldn't want him if we could get him. **** Bron's longterm career if we could win two or three in a row.

You made a hypothetical that implied Melo would get LeBron in jail somehow. I didn't need to drop anything I was right. I said Melo wouldn't affect LeBron, if anything it would be the other way around. And you even admitted you would take Melo because it's obvious we'd get multiple championships.

You used Melo as a way to push your cheap point about going after Zach Randolph, so I told you to drop it because it's obvious you were wrong and knew it.

And Bron's longterm career would be golden with Melo as his Robin, FYI.

What man I mentioned ZR in a footer nothing more. I'm not wrong here that's my concern with Melo. I don't know the guy, his character, and I don't know LBJ. I do know people when they are around their friends though. I can't be wrong on an opinion so no i'm absolutely not. This is kind of laughable, because I meant that sarcastically to lol. I know he's not going to jail, but he could end up in trouble, miss some games, get injured (Monta).
