Was last nights game the first in which Shump was convincingly outclassed on the defensive end of the floor?
Minus a couple of hand checks, it was probably the first time since he became a Cavalier that he looked to come off second best in his one on one matchups on the floor.
I'm sure the injury is legit, but doesn't it seem like NBA players are always "hurt" right after they make a really embarrassing play?
I still think this team would be better off with Shumpert starting at the two and JR coming off the bench, but it's too late in the season to make that change and risk screwing up JR's confidence.
I used to think this, but J.R.'s spacing and shooting ability is an invaluable part of our starting line-up. Shumpert can theoretically be helped off-of, even though he's not a bad shooter. Teams cannot leave J.R. without risking going down by double digits in a span of a minute or two. It leaves a TON of room for everyone else to operate.
