This is a huge part the story that is being unreported.

i guessed 14 or 15 mil per from a desperate team like LA wasn't crazy for Shumpert earlier in this thread. Glad he saw the value of playing on a winning team, is greater than maybe having the money to buy 2 lambo's instead of one

Agreed. Not as good as Danny Green's contract, which was the steal of the FA season so far (Green is a lot better than Shump). But given the contracts we've been seeing it's very reasonable for what Shump brings on the defensive end especially. And Shump doesn't have the roots in Cleveland that Green does in SA so he's not going to cut us that kind of deal.

Now TT's contract on the other hand still bugs me...

The thing is, both Shump and TT are still very young and have so much room for improvement. So, if we consider that into the equation and also the fact that cap would rise up, the deals would end up looking quite good in few years time.

Or it could be the fact that his career FG% is below 40%.

I like Shumpert's defensive ability on this team (we need it), but we need to be realistic on what he is offensively.

This. Shooting less than 35% from 3 and 40% overall *while playing next to Lebron James* is kinda sucky. Even a guy like Mario Chalmers was consistently around 40% from 3 playing next to Lebron. Then he couldn't even shoot 30% from 3 in the Finals, getting a fair number of open shots. Shump is really not a top 3&D guy, he is more like 3&D
