I compare watching highlight videos to drinking and thinking about an ex girlfriend. Makes you completely forget about any bad things they ever did. That they were completely perfect.

Shumpert is a perfect fit for this team.

More importantly, however, I think the playoffs showed us two things about him that you only learn in the playoffs:

This guy is tough. He's missed quite a flurry of regular season time in his career, but playing though pain isn't something he's afraid of. What he did to stay on the court in the finals is amazing.

He's also not afraid of the moment. Particularly in the Chicago series, when he needed to step up with an injured Love and suspended JR, he played his best basketball of the season.

He's the kind of guy you need on a championship team.
