Indians Trade Garko to Giants

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would be fine with Torey Lovullo. I don't see how we can really say he isn't ready for a bigleague gig- his won/loss record is irrelevant since it is the minors, it comes down to how he handles the players and if the Tribe feels he does a good job at that. All of the Indians' prospects at AAA this year have been hitters, and the team leads the IL in runs scored. He has had the same BP issues as the Tribe, since the Indians' constant shuffling of the deck chairs have had the same effect on the C-Bus bullpen. It would help with continuity, as guys like LaPorta/Marte/Brantley/Rondon/Brown would be moving up with the same manager.

I guess I lied, I'd rather have a log as our manager than Wedge right now, so I'd take Lovullo- with great regret, as I don't think it'd work. But if he actually played the young players he'd be a slight improvement.

I don't want another minor league manager, we tried that with Wedge.

Baseball managers have very little impact of the team's performance.
Even if you have an argument against that, Wedge has been said to be a "players" manager.

All this "get rid of Wedge" talk is pointless.

He is also a 'dumb' manager. You can see why he was a minor league manager, he doesn't know what to do in any situation. He also changes the lineup around constantly when it doesn't have to be.

We need a manager that is going to get everything they can out of the players on the field. Thats why I didnt like Wedge. He seemed to settle for the least. Were at a stage were we have a ton of young guys, we need a tough disciplined manager that teaches them the hard way not the easy way. We need to get everything out of our young guys. If Lovullo is the right man for the job, then bring him in.

So because Wedge failed the team we should lump all minor league managers into one group and say f-ck off?

No...I'm taking my time and hiring the best man for the job.

Personally I think that is John Farrell.
