Oh, and he won the national title with Ohio State in just his second year there, so JT doesn't even have that on him.
I appreciate your enthusiasm, and I love JT as much as the next guy, but I'm having a hard time seeing how he can accomplish more than Paul Brown.
So let me get this straight: JT's not as good a coach as Brown, and won't do as much for football, but he's the greatest man in Ohio history? For what, bringing back the sweater vest?cavincali said:If he went to coach the Browns after winning another nati for the Bucks and he he won a superbowl with the Browns he will be the greatest man in Ohio history.

The Browns weren't the Browns until Paul Brown was coaching them. Plus, I believe he was basically the GM back then, in addition to being the HC. That's good enough for me to be considered the guy who started them.Ben said:Which Ohio team won a superbowl? Also, what were the two teams that Paul Brown started? I know Art McBride named the team after Paul Brown but that was about a year after he bought the franchise from the AAFL.

I was mistaken, thinking the Bengals had won the Super Bowl. They made it twice, but lost both. Brown of course was the original owner of the Bengals, and then his son Mike Brown, the current owner, inherited the team.
Deadlock said:The Plain Dealer talked about how Jim Tressel that he would only coach for the Cleveland Browns if he coached for any NFL team. Now comes to the conclusion. If OSU wins the title (which is most likely) then I could see Tressel quitting on top and trying something higher and harder. So if the Browns continue to play like they have been. Do you think that Tressel has a chance to be the Browns coach next year and that Romeo will be fired? I'm skepitcal about the whole thing right now.

I'm not saying that approaching Tressel would be the right move, I'm just saying that PR-wise it may be their only move.
