Joe "Captain America" Harris

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

May have answered this already, but does anyone else see Harris making the roster and being in the rotation?

I do and I think he will flourish as I see him as the kind of guy that Blatt salivates over. This pick has coordination between Blatt and Griff all over it. The Coach/GM dynamic is going to be huge for us. I think they are going to be perfectly on the same page. Blatt is exactly what Griff wanted offensively and he's brilliant enough to make it work without compromising the defense either. This franchise is going to turn around in a big way. I've never been this excited. I don't even think we need Lebron but that would put us over the top.

Recently had a cocktail with a former captain of the Yale football team, now a high powered lawyer.

My God, are you important.

Were you smoking a pipe and wearing a suit coat with patches on the elbows too????

You bring in some cheap rookies who know how to play smart - Delly, Karasev, Powell, Harris - and it rubs off on your future stars.

Not old school and fancy enough.

I'm guessing he was weaning a pith helmet, listening to phonographs and afterwards they buggered this Asian boy he won in a knife throwing contest in Ceylon.

Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

I see no reason Harris can't contribute right away. By all accounts, he is a strong, gritty player, great shooter, and good defender. David Griffin said "if you like Dellavedova, you're gonna also love this guy. He's an overachiever." Dellavedova made an impact last year and it sounds like they expect Harris to do the same.

Finally, we get to see the Cavs use a 2nd round pick with the intent of keeping the player and trying to make an impact with it. I was expecting the Cavs to take the Chris Grant approach and either trade the pick for future assets or go Euro since the team is already so young. I've been clamoring that the way to draft in the 2nd round is to take productive 4 year players, and Joe Harris is just that. He will pay dividends, especially on such a cheap contract. Early would have been a big name pick that gets the fans excited, but Harris is definitely the better fit.

I like the versatility and shooting the Cavs have the potential to bring with the 1/2/3 spots. Between the SG/SF slots, if Miles is resigned, you're going to be able to play almost any combination of Dion, Harris, Wiggins, Miles, and Karasev. All of those players could split time at the 2/3 depending on matchups with the exception of Dion playing the 3. Blatt will have his choice to pick guys who are playing hard, moving the ball, and are hot shooting.

Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

I would like to keep Miles and then just have Karasev and Harris fighting for a spot just so they can stay in the league.

Miles is a chucker who has the ability to get hot from deep. Joe Harris is a shooter. Miles has a role, and it isn't impeded by the presence of Harris or Karasev.

Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

1.) So is Gee basically playing in the D league finally?

2.) How can you not like what the pick says? It says we have a FO that is all on the same page. Offense, cough Mike Brown, Cough, mike brown again, Offense, we are actually drafting to fit our coaches system.

3.) Haven't, you my former ballers, played the Old man teams (maybe you're on them) at like D4 Y leagues. Who just set a shit load of dirty picks, screens, and have one dude who still can run around and make crazy threes. Or the team of guys who played D3 who just score 70 in the first half off of threes. I do because it let me just not pass the ball down so much and score a career high lol of like 60 pts cuz they stopped playing in the second half with like 130 points. No I have no problem playing Dan Majerle Ball.

The spurs did not show that D beats O. The heat are not O. Spo is terrible. He is their problem. The Spurs scored aplenty. And happened to have a good coach and scheme. We need offense, we care about it. Good.

Or would you rather be waiting to see how Nerlens Noels, Joel Embiid and who cares can walk again. No?

Then good day. Christ don't half you get paid today? Sell some medicine bitches!

Defamation of character! Lawyer up!

My point was that the team grabbed two role players who have high assists and a low usage rate for their position. Powell and Harris will keep the ball on the conveyor belt and run plays, which the team has been lacking the past four years.

Someone call for a lawyer?

Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

Great shooter...smart passer. Does he have the defense to stick? Forgot about Felix.......Does his average shooting really fit with us now? Looking back Grant's picks really had no end point. Like he was pretty much drafting guys not thinking about how the coach would use them then on top of that they weren't even BPA.

Griff said he wants shooting and boom Joe Harris

As a high-powered lawyer myself, I can neither confirm, nor deny whether RandolphKeys who may or may not be my client, had an alleged "dinner" with another high-powered lawyer (should one actually exist), that graduated from Yale university.

Side-note: this post took me about 8 minutes to type (took a phone call during the posting), so we'll just round up to an hour. The board will be receiving my bill shortly.

And by "took me about 8 minutes to type" you surely mean the 1 minute of dictation that took your secretary 20 seconds to transcribe. Sure, an hour sounds reasonable.

Excellent lawyering. While I am "in house counsel" basically. I only recall everything rounded to 1/6 of an hour. 1 min =1/6.

I am assuming it was not defamatory pro se so your Client would likely have to prove actual damages from said comment. That is IIRC per se would not require special damages in Ohio and there are only several categories, which only make sense in 1800's England:

1.) Disparaging the Chastity of a Woman
2.) Comments suggesting someone has a has a heinous disease

Yeah still around.

But is randolphkeys a public figure? Then actual malice is required. CSI RCF

Edit: Yes there are actual practical Per Se categories of Defamation. But I think it more edifying to point out stating as fact someone is um "a Leper" or stating as fact that an unmarried hot bartender blows guys behind a dumpster are someone humorous holdovers (well not defamation if truth). Always remember say "I think or in my opinion" then you are free to well defame the hell out of someone as you're not stating fact, but opinion.
