Joe "Captain America" Harris

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

I saw a mock draft where he went 58th. Doesn't give me the most confidence, but that would be to Spurs. So if he is a good fit for Spurs, I take him here.

Mock drafts don't mean shit, especially with the 2nd round. Bilas had him as 30th in his list.

I don't think that NBADraft.net is a reputable source. However, to your point, if San Antonio did covet him, then I am absolutely confident in taking him.

I hope he can be a Kyle Korver type impact 3 point shooter. That is valuable to a team.

Has a lot to prove to me. Seems very below-average. Not really thrilled about this pick

Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

This is an awesome pick. Tough, hard-nosed player who makes the right play time-- and he's an elite shooter. He'll figure out how to be effective in the nba. I think he becomes a crucial role player a la Kyle Singler in Detroit.

ESPN U analysts love this pick. Great ability to come off screens and shoot 3's. Good fit with Irving.

I hope he can be one of the best shooters of all time as well :chuckles:

Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

Joe Harris had a major hand in making Virginia a very good team last year. He was basically the entire offense.

He's a good, smart player who relies on things such as good cuts, picks, and screens to get open. His form is okay, a little streaky for my tastes, but he'll be a good player. And he's bigger too. Really like him. Should be a solid bench shooter for many years.

Re: #33: Joe Harris - G/F - University of Virginia

This is a good pick in the sense that I think Kyrie plays best next to a spot up shooting guard.

How can you watch the NBA today, see the huge importance of the 3 pt shot and hate the value of getting a career 40% shooter from 3 at pick 33?

And he did that at all four years, so its not a small sample size. Bilas had him ranked 30th on his board. Said to be the best 3P shooter in the draft coming off screens and we are moving to a screen heavy offense.

Winning teams have guys on their bench who can do one thing very well. This is a far above average pick for a specific role.

Some fans aren't used to us drafting right. They are used to us drafting for potential and not worrying about actual talent or fit. You know, the things that actually matter.
