Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Saying something stupid and being stupid are two different things.

I watched your show you had on rcf, I don't think you could entertain someone for 4 hours a day talking sports. Personally, I think you should have had Andrew as a guest. That's for another conversation though.

Being stupid is some of these guys shtick. There's no way I believe skip bayless believes everything he says. Just like I don't believe hammer believes everything he says.

It's not my job to entertain people for four hours. It is theirs.

They suck.

I think we contacted Andrew and his rider was just far too detailed.

You do understand this isn't their first radio show together right?

It's not like the alternative is any better. Rizzo has no clue about basketball. He seems to know what he's talking about with baseball (but I really don't watch, so he might be just as clueless). He has better football knowledge then basketball, but I don't think it's by a large margin. At least he actually does watch the games when it comes to the Browns.

His co host is also awful. Cherry constantly defends the player and always says at the same time this and that.

I don't think majority of people here understand how hard it is to talk for 3-4 hours, 5 days a week and not understand you're going to say something stupid. All while keeping people entertained.

Rizz is pretty good with baseball and football. He is clueless on basketball, I agree. He thought a stretch four was a four that gets a lot of rebounds.

Thing is a lot of you listen to his show expecting X's and O's breakdown and analysis and for him to hyperanalyze the pick and roll defense of this or that, or break down A gap and B gap on the Browns' line, etc...that isn't what his show is at all, and he frequently makes sure people understand that. It's a casual show. Cherry is an awful co-host, I can't stand him and believe it or not I'd rather have Hammer next to Rizz than Cherry. You can always guess Cherry's take, and it's always something obnoxious. Hammer could be too, though. The thing I dislike about Hammer is he runs a Buckeyes radio station yet takes every chance to rip on Ohio State, up to the point where it's just to make people mad. He predicts them to lose every week and when they lose one game he acts like a prophet. Even after that MSU victory, I caught him going, "NO CHANCE they make the playoffs, first of all they are going to lose again..." Give me a break. You run a radio station in Buckeye Country, you don't have to love Ohio State but be a little more professional about it.

My WKNR rant for the day.

I do enjoy a few shows on the station, though I understand why most of you don't. Munch and Hooley are beyond horrible, and unlistenable. Sometimes I try. Just awful.

The only good sports radio show is SVP and Russillo. I visit Cleveland once or twice a month, and I always turn on the sports radio station when I get into town. Within 5 minutes, I'm back to music. I don't know why I still bother. :chuckle:

Could not have said this better myself. Hammer goes out of his way to dump on the Buckeyes every chance he gets, 2011 was probably the best year of his life. I'll always laugh about how stubborn he was that Urban Meyer would never come to Ohio State, what a fucking assclown.

I know he isn't local and I know he's polarizing but damn it do I love Cowherd.

Dude is easily my favorite sports radio personality

Ick.

Guy used to refer to Mo Williams as "that point guard they have." Just not nearly knowledgable.

What's so wrong with that? Mo was just a decent player, he was gifted his lone All-Star appearance because the Cavs went into the All-Star break at an insane 40-11 in 2009. He was a good shooter, but his handle and vision were poor by league standards for the position, in addition to being undersized for the position.

I just always remember him as a guy that always faltered in the playoffs. Look at the drop in his per-36 numbers from what he did in the regular season compared to what he did in the playoffs:

08'-09' Regular Season: 18.3 points on 47/44/91 splits, 4.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds, .9 steals, 2.3 turnovers
08'-09' Playoffs: 15.2 points on 41/37/77 splits, 3.9 assists, 3.0 rebounds, .7 steals, 2.0 turnovers

'09-'10 Regular Season: 16.7 points on 44/43/89 splits, 5.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 2.6 turnovers
'09-'10 Playoffs: 13.8 points on 41/33/80 splits, 5.2 assists, 3.0 rebounds, .5 steals, 2.0 turnovers

The worst was when he got abused in the playoffs in 2010 by Rajon Rondo though. Rondo averaged a 14/10/4 that season, but when guarded primarily by Mo Williams over the course of six games he managed to explode for a back breaking 21/12/6. Considering how badly LeBron outplayed Pierce that series I've yet to forgive Mo or Jamison for being stinking piles of shit.

Point is, he didn't know the name of the second best player on the best team (record wise) in the NBA.

Good ole Johnny should have got some work in today. Hoyer was putrid.

The whole Johnny thing makes it impossible for the team to put him in for mop up duty. Once he goes in, he's in for a multi-game stretch.

Maybe the final two games once it get confirmed that we are neither the division leader or have a wild card shot.

That's his schtick. He does that just so people listen and complain. I don't think he actually believes it if he says they're going to lose against Indiana, but just to get people calling in and fired up.

On a side note I did here from somebody in the service industry that he's a huge douche bag and this is from somebody that doesn't listen to sports talk radio. They also said Cherry is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Rizzo i was told is kind of a strange guy, but not an ass.
