"Find me one, just one." You asked for one comparison of a guy who had similar issues. It's extremely simple to try to point out failures, rather than step-up and predict success.
You know, for someone who seems to think they have some exceptional perspective, you fail to see that you're the only one here saying that you can see the future. I know I can't. I also know it's too early to tell. Believe whatever makes you feel confident.
Why would I "step up and predict success" for someone that's showing every sign of not being able to experience it? :chuckles:
I'd step up and predict success for Gordon, because he's shown incredible athleticism, great hands and ridiculous separation ability and I think the Browns or some other team will do what they can to take advantage of those skills in spite of him making horrible decisions. I'll step up and predict success for Dion Waiters, because he's shown signs of a killer instinct, athleticism, leadership abilities and team oriented play...in spite of some rumors about an inability to get along with Kyrie and coaches. The Cavs have also, in one amazing off-season, put an incredible support system around him.
There's clear skills and a level of success at the professional level with these two in spite of personality flaws.
Just because I'm not predicting success for long-shots that haven't shown anything doesn't mean I'm doing something wrong. That's like picking a stock that's tanking and showing signs of failure that 90% of businesses that have failed in the past have shown.
Some people like longshots...I don't.
I'm not claiming to be able to see the future like some kind of mystic. I'm telling you that every single indication points to failure for him. Sample size is small, yes...of course. But you can project college skills to the NFL, look at a lack of talent surrounding a player, look at a trainwreck of an off-season and then look at major flaws in a guy's game that successful QB's do not have and say that failure is extraordinarily likely. I'm not just looking at his completion percentage or a few bad plays here in the pre-season games. I'm looking at flaws that just about no Quarterbacks fix.
I'm extremely confident he'll fail. You seem to be relatively confident he won't.
I mean whatever. But you know goddamn well I'll remind you of this conversation one he's done. I still remember the one we had about when the Browns Head Coaching search supposedly wasn't an embarrassment and that according to you, guys weren't turning them down. :chuckles:
