Kendrick Perkins - Canton's Enforcer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why didnt he play yesterday?

Three main reasons:

1. Putting Kendrick Perkins on the floor takes minutes away from Moz or Tristan, both of whom have legitimate gripes that they're not getting enough playing time as is.

2. Atlanta is a terrible matchup (surprise!) for a lumbering big, and to top it off they used Mike Scott as their center on their bench units after the first quarter. Playing with five men around the perimeter.... not exactly Perk's cup of tea.

3. Kendrick Perkins is a terrible basketball player. I don't know why posters can't just accept this. It took three games on a team without a backup center for Blatt to say, "Thanks, but no thanks!" and nail Perk's ass to the bench. I've been smiling ever since!

I thought Atlanta did not have a defensive physical presence. If that is the case wont it be easier for us to jam it in with big bodies? Dont tell me that Perkins is as bad as Haywood. It is getting me depressed.

Next year we should go after someone like Koufas who is a free agent and replace Perkins. Perkins is too slow and cant score. He would be useful against Indiana and Chicago not anywhere else.

Holy hell is this guy an atrocious basketball player, I thought he would be a good addition but every time he steps on the court it becomes a disaster and the opposing team goes on a run. How the hell were the Thunder winning with this guy playing 20 plus minutes.

This.... dunno why folks thought he'd improve the team.. He doesn't. At least, not on the floor.

I think there's a reason that Perkins was a guy who for most of his time started and then was taken off the floor. Play him with Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka, fine, but once you take him away from playmakers he's absolutely useless. I'd like to see him get a couple minutes with the starters, maybe when taking Mozgov off first give him a few minutes with Love before bringing in TT but he is not a guy you want with a dedicated bench unit.

Perk was part of the reason Suns went on such a huge run tonight. He is way too slow to play against teams that space the floor.

I want Moz and Kyrie to play in bubblewrap until the playoffs start because we are in such deep trouble if either gets hurt. So frustrating to see our three stars have to come back in to finish games in order to get Perk some minutes.

Don't you forget about KG, Ray, Pierce, and Rondo, talk about the best 4 possible for a unskilled offensive bigman. He was a good clean up man and defensive scrapper.

I too would like to see him get some time with the starters and see what kind of player he'll be.

You wont see me bashing a guy that wants to be here and make things work. Ill leave that to the clowns.

Perkins sucks. Everyone will be whining about him in no time. Enforcers are overrated. The spurs have won 5 championships without an enforcer. Give me a good basketball player any day over an enforcer, who can barely dribble and shoot.

I can't wait until a Tristan, Perkins, Delly lineup blows a 20 point lead and everyone comes in here whining.

Ill say it again, hes a fine insurance policy, but he should NOT be playing 15-20 minutes a game and it's not even a discussion.

I'm re-posting what I said when the Cavs initially signed Perkins. This took about a week, except it was a 30 point lead.
