Kendrick Perkins - Canton's Enforcer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What I said right when we got him where I got laid with a ton of disagrees...
Kendrick Perkins is literally one of the worst players in the league at this point. Why do people want him?

Offensive Rating: 87
Defensive Rating: 102

PER: 7.4

WS/48: .027

Box Plus/Minus: -3.4

VORP: -0.4

Brendan Haywood's advanced stats are virtually the same as Perkins's and his regular stats per 36 are probably better. That should tell you how good Perkins is.

Comparing him to Brendan Haywood who has barely played at all this season makes your point moot.

Perkins is superior in every facet of the game.
How dense are you? Drop the bone, man. A dozen people have outlined why its a fool's errand to compare the OKC situation to ours. Go back and re-read until you get it...

The guy isnt coming here to throw up double doubles and post up. He's coming here to set hard picks, fight for rebounds and loose balls, and use all 6 fouls if necessary. Perfect enforcer/4th big for us.

Think Ben Wallace back in the day, but half the playing time...
The above one is gold lol. A comparison to Ben Wallace!

I warned everyone, but nobody wanted to accept that Perkins is a terrible basketball player.

Don't you forget about KG, Ray, Pierce, and Rondo, talk about the best 4 possible for a unskilled offensive bigman. He was a good clean up man and defensive scrapper.

I too would like to see him get some time with the starters and see what kind of player he'll be.

You wont see me bashing a guy that wants to be here and make things work. Ill leave that to the clowns.

You want him to play with the starters??? Did you watch tonight's game, and are you aware it's not 2009? When the Cavs built that thirty-point lead, did you notice the stifling, athletic defense, and Tristan cleaning the glass?

He's awful. This is backed up by statistics and the naked eye. I have no idea how a sane person could watch tonight's game and clamor for Perk to get more minutes.

If he's not going to throw the opponent's hot hand on the floor or smack around anyone messing with his teammates, this guy is a big time negative.

He is fucking useless.

We should have used his roster spot on a PG. There is nothing he gives us we can't get from Haywood, as Perkins is horrendous at this point.

People just fell in love with a "name" guy like Perkins and let it distort their thinking about how much value he really has in 2014.

I was really hoping they would add a backup PG if Perk was the only big available

If Kendrick Perkins were an ice cream flavor, he'd be pralines and dick.

He looked at least average with OKC this year, he's just an insurance policy that might only play meaningful minutes in certain favorable matchups, I'm just trying to figure out what those matchups might be

This signing could come back to haunt Griffin in an enormous way if the team continues to try to put him into games and if anything were to happen to say, one of our ball handlers. Having him on the team is such a massive mistake to me. All you had to do was watch 5 minutes of tape on him in OKC this year and you knew he was finished.

I disagree but ill do it in a polite way.

There's no haunting coming back our way, who else was there? I don't see any other guys besides Little Nate that was signed after Perk. Guys that were named, Sammy, Blatche Farmar, some other scrubs.

I don't call this a haunting, if anything a experiment gone bad so to say. But we tried to get better in the bigs department, you can never have enough bigs as Coach John Lucas would say.

Its awfully funny that Ray Allen announced he was sitting the season out as if the Cavs already knew about it and went on and filled the last spot.

As far as the ballhandlers go, Lebron, Kyrie, if something happens to them were done anyways. Farmar, Nate, etc couldn't fill that void if they were on roids.

We should have waited for McGee. At least you can throw lobs to that guy. My goodness. Perk can't even globber up rebounds in traffic.
