Klay Thompson suffers concussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
More info.
Klay Thompson's agent, Bill Duffy, said his client cleared tests and did not have a concussion.

This is getting weird. First, Klay passed a concussion test just after being kneed in the head, then the Warriors released a statement after the game that he had concussion-like symptoms. Now, his agent is saying something different. Thompson was dizzy, had to throw up and didn't feel well last night, so this new report is a little harder to believe than usual. We'll see what the Warriors say next. If this is true, he should be ready to go in the next couple days.

Isn't a head contusion worse than a concussion? Bleeding on the brain is not a good thing.

A contusion is a bruise. Could be to the tissue around the skull. Concussion means the brain was bashing against the inside of the skull. Concussion almost always worse, since it's necessarily a brain injury.

A contussion is just a bruise. Bleeding of the brain would be like a hemmorage.

Honestly i feel like Curry had a concussion too. Golden state just didnt wanna lose him for a week. Golden state really playing Russian roulette.

Whether he gets cleared to play or not, it sounds like the Splash Brothers are going to be the Woozy Brothers. And if the Woozy Brothers are afraid to go all out, for fear of further injury, the W's are going to be at a disadvantage.

This won't happen.

He'll be fine by the time we play. I do think though that if anyone on Golden State is going to choke on the big stage it's going to be Klay.
Idk man. Klay totally disappeared against Shump in the regular season.

@KilgoreTrout and @Kizzle This is what I was going by, but obviously I'm not a doctor:

I was not sure a "head" contusion is the same thing as a "brain" contusion. A bruise on the brain is a definite bad thing, but I didn't think that's what they meant when they said that Curry had a "head" contusion.

Remember the fallout another Cleveland team received for sending in a player with a concussion? The Cleveland Browns, who sent in Colt McCoy. That started the NFL concussion protocol, which was not in place yet, but the media still hammered the Browns. Now, the NBA has its own concussion protocol that Golden State apparently did not follow, at least not very "competently", given the stakes, and no pushback? At least the media could interview KLay's father/parents like they did Colt's, for added drama against the team.
