Kyrie is going to have the best year of his career by far. I think you'll see his numbers shoot up across the board. He may even make an All NBA team, no exaggeration.

It's amazing what'll happen when you play with LeBron James every night.

(In fact, I'm gonna rewatch the 2014 All Star game to hold me over in anticipation)

As has been said, if LeBron can make Mo Williams an all-star, the sky is the limit for Irving.

This 100 times over!

Do people realize how fucking good this dude is gonna be this year? He's gonna have Lebron, Wiggins, Delly and Waiters taking turns guarding him every day in practice this year. Add that with less defensive attention and a coach that knows what hes doing and we might be looking at the best point guard in the NBA this year!!

I think KI's offensive game will really mature with LBJ, but I also recall that not even LBJ could make Mo a passable defender. The big challenge for KI is going to be on the defensive end. If he can at least get to the point where he doesn't get torched by the better PG's, that'll be fine. He doesn't have to become lockdown, but Mo Williams level defense just won't cut it.

I wonder if Kyrie has the foresight to work on his catch and shoot 3 game.

With Lebron on the team he is probably going to see more wide open looks than he ever has before. The difference is he won't have the ball before taking the shot, which can throw a ball dominant player off.

Kyrie, when on his game, has one of the best J's i've seen in a long time. If he can translate that into a catch and shoot game its going to be disgusting.

this is the first year kyrie has a reason to play hard and compete every game. Hes not going to be taking plays off with blatt and lebron in his ear. Its going to be a wonderful season for kyrie's growth

It's very easy to write off Kyrie as a lock to improve and for the most part I agree. However, to say he has a reason to play hard and compete every game is a reason for me to throw up a red flag. The reason you play hard and compete is because you are a professional. It's the same reason you wake up everyday and go to a job that you've been with for 20 years.

I don't believe Kyrie handles tough love very well but maybe LeBron is just the person to reach Kyrie given Kyrie's level of respect for him. I do feel this will be the year Kyrie grows up and I also believe LeBron James is the person to thank for it when it's all said and done.

It's going to be interesting to see the transformations that take place on the court this year from our young guys if not the most interesting aspect of the entire NBA considering the circumstances.

I hope he doesn't pout when LBJ gets all the attention and credit.

No one seems to be thinking about that. Just saying.

I think its more human nature to try harder when you know theres a reason. Its gotta be hard waking up knowing no matter how hard you ball, your team isnt doing shit.

If they start winning, his brand is going to going to skyrocket.... thats why he wont pout

Looking forward to see a lot of pick&roll action from James and Kyrie.
James and Chalmers played this a lot with James beeing the screener. It's very tough to guard for the opposing teams, especially if you consider that Kyrie is 10 times the player Chalmers is...

He had pretty damn good reasons to get up for that Atlanta game. He's gotten away with a lot during his tenure here. I think Mike Brown cracked down on his bullshit but he just didn't respect the guy and neither did his family. Whether or not Mike Brown is to be respected as a coach by us is up for debate but it's not up for debate when you're a player for his team.

Kyrie lacks in many areas and let's not pretend he doesn't. His defense which was once just considered a forgivable offense is now considered an unacceptable liability playing with LeBron James on a now contending team.

His ball distribution lacks continuity and it will no longer be tolerated. He is, at the end of the day, a point guard and it's vital that your point guard sets forth the offense so that your teammates are able to do their job with success. He's got to cut down on his broken plays and dribbling himself into a black hole.

Obviously these things are easier when LeBron is on your team but LeBron is a well known team player that places distribution first and using himself second. Kyrie has never been that type of player since he's arrived. I can't wait to find out if he becomes that player.

Kyrie really struggled to be a leader, and now he won't have to. This can only be a good thing.
