F*CK!!!

Wow. Crazy thing is even a healthy Rose is not a good fit for the FIBA game at all. Lillard would have been a much better fit for the international game and he's healthy.

Wow, calm down people. Players get banged up, or even injured (OMG!!1) sometimes when they play sports. Some more often than others. Hindsight "he shouldn't have been out there in garbage time," I don't wanna hear it. At least he was going hard. Shit happens. He's not dying btw. He's gonna play for us and he might get hurt then too. Should we just not play him anymore????

The chance of injury is going to go up by the amount of time one is playing. It may be a weak or strong correlation but this is one of those things logically has to exist. So what people are upset about is why have your starting PG in there during garbage time. In this tournament they play a lot of back to back games as it is so it would make sense for him to not be out there in situations like these

It's a lot different then if this happened during the start of the game or in a close game.

Really? It seems a lot of athletes just never get to where they were after these type of injuries. Castor77 pointed out Agent 0 but you can also think of guys like TMac and Amare who just never were the same. Maybe it's mental but I think in this the more charitable assessment is more likely to be true: he's just not back to where he was athletically.

I would disagree that Arenas was never the same. His problem was that he could never stay healthy after that initial injury. When he did play, at least prior to the 2010/11, he looked pretty similar to the Arenas that was one of the better players in the league. The problem, of course, was that he could never stay on the court. He was only able to play 47 games over three seasons, although during two of those seasons he was putting up numbers that were pretty consistent with what he had been doing before. Slightly worse, which was to be expected. Arenas also got injured several times more than Rose has, and it was a recurring meniscus injury rather than two separate ones.

Derrick Rose tore his ACL during garbage time when he had no business being in the game. Your starters should never be in the game when they don't need to be.

It's understandable that cavs fans freaked out when one of their important players just got injured in a mealiness game with 1 minute to go while his team was up by 28. Tbh.

If Rose couldn't truly take the load off of Kyrie and play just as much as Kyrie idk y Damien didn't make it. So against good teams were really gonna have to watch Kyrie play damn near whole games. While the Bulls coach our main rival sits and probably laughs

Sorry, but you missed the point. Injury's happen, that's part of the sport for sure.
But it's not about the injury alone but more about the circumstances that "caused" it. Derrick Rose as your back up point guard doesn't work in this world cup - for all players involved.
Fortunately, it's nothing serious so we can indeed all calm down right now. ;)

Sorry but this isn't all about the Cavs. Coach K can do what he wants. Rose is limited and believe it or not Kyrie isn't widely considered better than Curry or the best player on that team, so he was out there.

Hmm. This really isn't that convincing: just like Arenas, Rose also got hurt again as well. Once the knee goes the chance of re-injury goes up.
Arenas's PER went from 24 down to 18 as he was entering his prime and never got back to a superstar level. Rose also had a PER in the nearly the exact same range as Arenas and the next year in the few games he played his PER was miserable. I'm not denying that mental makeup makes a difference here but the simplest explanation here is that he's gotten two injuries in the same knee and basketball players just don't recover well from knee injuries
