Kyrie Irving

His 34 points were obviously needed but his court vision is abysmal.

0 assists? Yes, the entire team had 6 but the entire team aren't starting point guards.

...and that doesn't even explain all the mindless dribbling into traffic with absolutely nobody open to kick it out to. By now, he should be experienced enough to know to keep his head on a swivel and his age is becoming a tiring excuse.

How about that possession after the flagrant foul? Inbound to Kyrie Irving. Dribbles the ball 20+ times, bleeds 14 seconds off the shot clock, doesn't pass the ball, forces a shot, gets packed. That's your point guard?

Good to see Kyrie is getting treated like the second coming of Kobe. Makes me like him even more.

But seriously... I really wish he wouldn't dribble so much. He has all the right in the world to have the confidence he does in his shot or his ability to get to the rim. But I know he's a better passer than he's shown. I mean, LeBron can play "point guard" if they want to do some weird OKC type thing. Rooting for him to get it together. We know he can score (and even play defense) in crunch time.

Not even worried about Kyrie. We need to get out even more out of Love and Waiters. Also all of the players' dedication to defense leaves much to be desired.

Kyrie was on fire tonight. Hate to see a PG with 1 assist though. I can't grill him too hard because he single handedly kept us in it for a period, and the team only had 6 assists as a whole.

I'll reserve judgement until this becomes a trend.

He had 0 assist, not 1 assist. The ball stuck with him and LeBron as usual, while no one else was getting involved, but the difference was, LeBron at least tried to let the other guys involved unlike Kyrie. The Cavs aren't going anywhere until Kyrie changes his style. I can't believe that some guys on here thought he had a good game. Well, I'm not that surprised. Yeah, he can get buckets, but does he set up plays for his teammates to get involved enough to win games? He has no court awareness when it comes to getting his teammates involved.

Going to be interesting to see when people get on each other. Lebron recently said something like "it's going to happen I'm not going to like you and you aren't going to like me but thats what it takes to get better and change"

Will be interesting to see if he says anything to Kyrie.

How do you expect to get more out of those two guys when Kyrie is busy chucking the ball and not looking to make any effective set plays for his teammates?

More out of Waiters? What the fuck? He played 11 minutes tonight.

Kyrie is the guy with the maximum contract. Kyrie is the PG, the guy with the ball in his hands the majority of game. 0 assists in unacceptable. Embarrassing. I've literally never heard of anything like that before.

The assists number tonight is pretty deceptive. The team shot 40 FTs, not much room for finishing off passes.

Asked about Kyries game:

"Ah well, as far as his scoring...pretty good"

Yup.

For a starting PG on a team with many weapons and have ZERO assist, it's just plan pathetic. I would rather Kryie have 18 pts and 8 assist. That would mean the ball was moving. After FIBA play, I was hoping Kryie learned how to share the ball, but guess, it's just not in his nature. We are not going to make it far if he doesn't change his way. He needs to mimic Tony Parker. Pass first and only go into hero ball if needed.

The tweets about Kyrie's 0 assist are hilarious. Someone called him the Russell Westbrook of the East and i totally agree.

The problem is a guy like Love is the ultimate dump off guy. He's not going to score one on one unless you post him up. Otherwise he's a guy who should make Kyrie's life easier as he'll finish inside for you or drain the jumper if the defense collapses. Kyrie, however, just does not pass to open shooters at the 3 point line. I have no idea if the stat is available but he has to be one of the worst starting PG's in terms of assists that lead to 3 pt shots in the NBA.
