Can't believe people were trying to vote him into the allstar game, sorry excuse for a PG.

trade him, cut him, bench him. dont care. until kyrie pretends to even think about playing on the defensive side of the ball he needs to find himself on the bnech

Yeah he is awful. When he brings the ball up I can't even watch. About a 75% chance he will turn it over or take a shot from behind the backboard.

If we can get something for him I would trade him. He is no PG

75% huh?

I'm no doctor but I think he was sick out there tonight. I saw him during timeouts on two occasions put his head down in a towel and he was sneezing. There were a few instances on the court where he was just bending over. Didn't look good tonight.

Rubio is an elite defender?

Thats news.

I'll pass on one of the worst shooting point guards in NBA history

Rubio made the most defensive impact for a PG last year behind Bledsoe according to RPM and DRAPM, two of the better measures of defensive impact. He doesn't look like an elite defender but he makes an elite defensive impact. He's made a positive defensive impact his entire career which is a major reason that he's a career +3 points per 100 possessions while on court and +8 on-off per 100 possessions. He sucks at shooting AND he can't finish at the rim, YET he's a huge plus on court (+6.6 per 100 possessions last year, a really high number on a losing team; for comparison, Davis is +4.2 on the Pelicans this year). Frankly, if Rubio ever becomes a decent shooter (like Payton and Kidd became after not being able to shoot at all) and finishes at least at Dion's level at the rim, and given everything else he brings to the table, he would be an amazing player who helps teams wins.

For comparison's sake, Kyrie is a career -3.5 per 100 possessions on court and +2.4 on-off per 100 possessions. This is his best season by far as far as overall impact is concerned. Kyrie can eventually reach a very high ceiling as an impact player with smarter, wiser offense, and at least aneutral impact on defense.

In 2K15 I did a trade of Kyrie and Love for Wiggins, Bennett, and Rubio. 3 months ago that sounded like a dumb trade and it still might be, but I'd be pretty intrigued to see this team run with a real PG.

There goes our terrific, dynamic, insanely good, all-star worthy player. The future of Cavs basketball.

Irving needs to man the fuck up. Grab your balls, Kyrie, and understand that there are ways to contribute when your shot isn't falling. Play defense, create for others, whatever. You're a fucking grown man and a professional. Start acting like it.

The next time he starts dogging it he needs to benched. Just as Love was.

I don't understand. Wasn't Kyrie playing balls-out on both sides of the ball, about a month ago?

What happened? Did his soul just get sucked out of him by a dementor?

Great point. Kyrie was the #1 guy, at least in terms of effort and focus.

I don't know what's wrong with this team, but the fact that Kyrie has gone from "I'm not worried, I'll die for these guys, we're going to win" press conferences and ruthlessly aggressive and attentive defensive presence to the sulky, piss-weak and disinterested offensive and defensive player we saw last night is just another in a long line of concerns this team is currently having to deal with.

He realized he isnt making the all star game and has mailed it in Brandon Jennings style
