Yes, Kyrie isn't playing well right now. But seriously, give it time people. I know everyone is sick of hearing that considering we're half way through the season having underachieved big time, with a multitude of guys in a slump (Mike Miller... you never even shoot, sigh), and we're playing with little consistency with effort levels we wished we weren't seeing. Oh and the Cavs lost 9 out of the last 10 and Blatt is blowing up the media fronts. Is this a frustrating process? Absolutely. It's been flat out embarrassing to see these guys lose in the way they have been.

But.. call me crazy, call me patient, I believe Kyrie is going to get through this slump and lack of effort/focus, that this whole team is going to right this seemingly sinking-ship of a season. And that no team in the NBA is going to want to play the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs. And if this season is over sooner than we want it to be? So be it. No matter what, we'll be cheering and bleeding til the end.

You want a fairy tale ending?... You might just get it.

Rubio hasn't made a damn jumpshot since the Olympics. No thanks. Either Kyrie figures it out or bust.

I don't mind Kyrie sucking as much as I mind him moping on the bench because LeBron is taking over the team again. He looks like he'd rather be a loser with the ball in his hands getting gaudy numbers than be a winner and take a back seat to a better player.

take a back seat to a better player.
I haven't really seen this. People are putting too much weight on the most recent game, instead of the entire season. From everything I've seen so far this season, Kyrie LOVES having LeBron take all the weight and pressure off him.

The problem is his numbers we're never eye popping to begin with. A career 21/5 with slightly above averages aren't that impressive. Especially when you put them in context that he doesn't play a lick of D.

Right, it was certainly a one time thing in the last game. I just remember seeing a shot of him on the bench while the team was very much in the game and he didn't look excited at all. Was resting his head on his hand, holding the side of his face, and he just looked like a sad puppy.

Hopefully this is just a one time deal and he's back to normal next game, I just get the feeling he's not happy being in LeBron's shadow much the same as Dion wasn't happy in Kyrie's shadow.

But all of that is just my feeling, not really anything to look at as fact or anything. He looked sad sitting on the bench while we were in a close game fairly early, that's about the only fact I'm throwing out there, the rest is speculation.

Though I agree that the stats are less impressive when you factor in other elements of the game, ~21/5 puts Irving in elite company, i.e. 1 of 10 in the league this season.

^^This.

He always has that "I gotta get mine" look on his face. LeBron made a big mistake and now he's paying for it. He thought Love and Kyrie were smart and grown enough to understand what it takes to win, but both guys aren't ready to be winners yet. Loser habits die hard.

If Kyrie plays anything like last game bench him. If Blatt does this there might be hope for him. Clearly he has no problem sitting Kevin so Kyrie should get the same treatment.

difference between kyrie and dion is better dribbling skills and converting at about 5% better of a clip.

sorry. They're the same player.

Glad you can tell all of that from simple box scores!
