I have to admit I think Pau is going to help balance Rose's scoring decline. He wll be a sieve on defense though.the bulls window was the two seasons rose spent on the sideline.
This Kyrie vs Rose stuff is just a bit fan base dong measuring contest. Rose may not be quite the player he used to be, and Kyrie had a down year last year and had some question marks. But both are awesome point guards. That should work for everyone.
It's all gonna get decided in the playoffs anyway.
I think he'll be like Dwyane Wade. There will still be some games where he looks fantastic because of his athleticism, but overall he'll always be a shell of what he once was.I hear what you're saying, but I don't see anything pointing to Rose returning to even close to all-star level play. He's been out two years and is shooting 22% against Slovenia and Co.

Do we really know that Rose is an awesome point guard though? We know that he WASThis Kyrie vs Rose stuff is just a bit fan base dong measuring contest. I think the real issue with Rose is the mental weakness. Wade is a total bitch and probably my most hated player in the NBA, but he's played at a high level when he's not injured. He has to rest games because of his degenerative knees, but when he plays he's really good. He doesn't play hesitant because of his past injuries or because of his knees. Sometimes he can't give it his all, but it's not because he's scared or because he lacks confidence.
Rose is different. Rose lacks the confidence that Wade has to come back from his injuries. It's why he refused to come back two years ago when he was cleared, the only athlete I can remember who did such a thing. It was why he played like a scrub last year during the games he was back. It's why he's still terrible despite being basketball ready for months. He's just a mentally weak individual. People call it rust, but I see a guy who's playing hesitant.
There's nothing wrong with that. Not everyone is going to be Adrian Peterson, coming back from a major injury and setting records. I just don't think Rose has that mental toughness to ever get back where he was before. He's always going to see those two knee injuries in the rear view mirror and be hesitant as a result.
Rose has the second worst player efficiency for the USA. He's a little ahead of Mason Plumlee.
He's in the bottom 20 percent of all players in the tournament.
Thanks, Skip Bayless.
Am I wrong?
"You're not wrong Jack, you're just an asshole."
