Kyrie out 4 weeks with hairline fracture of left index finger

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

and here i thought we would have to trade AV to get shabazz

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

Hope everyone is happy with losing for the next three years because I'm not.

Yes because us getting say Shabazz Muhammed, or Nerlens Noels would ensure us losing for the next three years. In no way would adding one of those two players to our team be helpful...

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

What the hell are you talking about? You want some vet FAs? You want us to shore up the bench with some better scrubs? The way you get star talent is by collecting assets and making a trade, overpaying in free agency, or through the draft. We have a ton of assets and might be huge players at the deadline, we have a ton of cap space next summer if you're on the overpay for FA's bandwagon, and we have a ton of draft picks. These things take time.

You should sit the next few plays out. You sound like a girl right now...sports knowledge wise and obnoxious complaining wise.
Enjoy the losing buddy. I'm glad you are happy with the product we have here.

Agree

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

What the hell people expected? The guy who represented 90% of our team bolted and we were left with old garbage. Now we have a stud PG and some pieces that are proving to have potential. Its not pretty but we are on the right way, stockpilling picks and with good cap management.

Couldnt ask for much better after only TWO drafts, superstars dont come easily...

You literally just said nothing. Go mop up your tears and get some rest. Reevaluate in the morning.

I'm being realistic and patient with a rebuild. You don't seem to notice how there's only ever like 5 contenders out of 30 teams in the NBA each year? This is a very tough league to compete in, especially as a small market team. So far we've been doing things the right way. If you can't see that then you can respond with another over-dramatic, ignorant post and I can promptly put you on my ignore list. Thanks!

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

I kind of see this as a blessing in disguise;

this will allow Dion Waiters to gain an advantage in scoring more, in turn giving him a better chance to lock down the ROY award!

I don't think anyone's "happy" with the Cavs being 2-8... We all just see the situation for what it is. This team is a peice of shit outside of a select few players, and no amount of shinning (signing vets) is going to turn this turd into a golden nugget.

In order for a small market team to dominate the NBA they need to get incredibly lucky in the draft. Spurs-Duncan, Thunder-Durant, Cavs-LeBron, etc. You can find some outliers of course i'm sure, but as a general rule of thumb you are going to have to draft a transcendant player in order to dominate. Kyrie isn't LeBron/Duncan/Durant level quite obviously so we need to keep looking, or hit on a few very good players. If Kyrie is our best player in 3 years time then we will not win an NBA championship without multiple other players that you could argue are as good as him.

Edit: Oh and the multiple players that are as good as Kyrie method isn't a long term solution under the new CBA. With the NBA the way it is now these players would all be max players, giving us at minimum 3 max contracts, which would be 90%+ of our cap space, plus we would have players like Tristan, and Zeller, and any free agents we sign. Not a good method imo, but if it produced one title i'd die a happy man.

When is the last time a team had back-to-back ROYs?

I dont know, i'm not saying that Kyrie is on their level, but nobody really expected Durant to be the beast that he is today in his sophomore year

Boy, we're all emotional in here arent we?

I am upset because I dont get to watch Kyrie Irving play for a few weeks, I really am, but maybe we can finally be honest with ourselves. This team is bad, B-A-D, and anyone expecting a push for the playoffs this year was delusional.

I'm gonna enjoy watching Andy play with heart twice his size (until he's dealt), I'm gonna watch Dion, Lil Z, and yes, even Thompson develop and grow, and I'm gonna ignore the wins and losses. And if this team doesnt show improvement, especially the young bucks, then Byron is gonna have to answer for it.

Not a contender yet, and building one takes time. May the Tank be strong.
