Kyrie out 4 weeks with hairline fracture of left index finger

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

What the hell are you talking about? You want some vet FAs? You want us to shore up the bench with some better scrubs? The way you get star talent is by collecting assets and making a trade, overpaying in free agency, or through the draft. We have a ton of assets and might be huge players at the deadline, we have a ton of cap space next summer if you're on the overpay for FA's bandwagon, and we have a ton of draft picks. These things take time.

You should sit the next few plays out. You sound like a girl right now...sports knowledge wise and obnoxious complaining wise.

rainman probably loved when phil savage was the gm of the browns. because what he's bitching for is exactly what savage did in cleveland for years. worked really well too.

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

BY DOING WHAT?

And don't even compare the Cavs to the Browns. Different sport in a different league. The Cavs have been bad for 2 years since being contenders. The Browns have never been contenders. I'm not content, I'm just not being a drama queen. There's NOTHING we can do right now. The plan is in effect and is going as planned so far. Go ahead and get pissed...it's a waste of effort.
Well played, enjoy.

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

At least they look like there is some effort there. They maybe garbage but you can't be happy with what is going on here either?

You do realize OKC starteds and greens second year, also westbrooks rookie year, 3-29? They looked awful. Not like a team that would be in the playoffs the very next year.

The cavs are not the Indians or browns. They were big winners for 5-6 years of the Lebron era, then we left the team had to be gutted. This is the only way to do it and most people here realize that we are putting ourselves in the best position possible to rebuild to not just a .500 level but a high level. If you want to heck out for a few years because you can't take it, go for it!

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

Don't freak out everybody. This is why the Cavs traded for Jeremy Pargo.

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

Please do! And I know and see what is going on here. Hopefully it works here, unlike how well it's worked for the Browns. And I have no tears, it is just pathetic to watch teams you root for and love constantly produce dog shit. Maybe you are content with this but I am not. I don't have to agree with you nor do you with me. That's the beautiful thing about our country. Regardless I am not satisfied with a losing attitude which Cleveland has proven time and time again with the idiots that are running these teams. I'm not saying we should fire anyone at this point but I want someone to start getting pissed off and show the fans that we are sick and tired of the garbage that we are watching.

so, you want chris grant to join you in your temper tantrum?

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

Gody at the point.

FOR THE TANK

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

Alright so this thread is going to go to shit fast, so I'll speak my two cents and gtfo:

- I'm not that concerned about Kyrie's injuries up to this point and say we got some Mr. Glass type dude, simply because these injuries he is getting are not the type of injuries that structurally hinder a players career longterm. If he was busting that toe over and over, or if he was having ACL type issues, I'd be with you guys. He's not. These injuries blow, but they do happen.

- This team is not good. We are 2-8 with our future star PG in his 2nd year, and no one thinks we're gonna be winning games without him. Not the sign of a team that's ready to bust out of the lottery. As much as I hate this injury (I had fun watching Kyrie this year so far), it can help us in the long term. We need more young talent.

- If we lost enough games until Kyrie comes back to prove that this team has NO shot at winning, then the tank may be in full effect and we could see AV unloaded. I love AV and will not be upset if he stays on this team. However, if we could somehow move him for a young player or a lottery pick (OKC with the Raptors pick for example), it could speed up the rebuild by a year.

- There are plenty of open shots. Let's hope Scott gives Waiters the green light. Even if he struggles, I'd rather let the rook figure it out then see CJ Miles take 20 shots a game.

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

Yeah, that doesn't look good. The Greg Oden of point guards?

I was going to post something thought out and medical in nature to show how stupid that thought of yours is, but then I realized who posted it.

FIRE SCOTT AMIRITE!?!? He should be protecting Kyrie's hands and ANSWER MEDIA QUESTIONS!!?!?

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

I love these people that wanted the OKC model but didn't actually realize how absolutely horrible OKC was in it's 2nd year. News flash: OKC was freaking horrible in it's 2nd year of the rebuild (aka, Durant's second year). Welcome to the OKC model.

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

Wow, the overreaction in here is cracking me up. :chuckles:

The signs have been pretty blatant from the beginning. Grant is in 100% tank mode. From the garbage bench, to the cautious rest of players, to straight up saying in an interview that he plans on another top 5 pick this year... It's not even really a debate... The tank is on.

You can almost guarantee that if we were in contention, or especially in the playoffs, he would be in the lineup Wed.

Grant sees an injury to his star player, he's gonna make sure he gets the longest, cushiest rest he can possibly need.

injuries is not something Kyrie, the team or fans can control. its usueless to speculate on future injuries that may or may not happen.

As far as the 2-8 start the youth acquired has been playing pretty well and appears to be improving. the team should continue to improve without kyrie for a month they may even win a few games in the duration. The idea was to build a team that did not rely on one player. its better to have irving on the court of course but they can still develop without him .

3rd. AV wasnt retained to win. he was retained to hep the team develop and possibly be aroudnd to win later.

this is supported by things like Chris Grant and Scott both stating they did not have playoff expectations for this year.

Re: Kyrie out 4 weeks with contused left index finger

Yup he is 6'6 with shoes and has a 6'11 wingspan

He also has a 8'8 standing reach (popular in RCF)
Compare to other so called undersized small fowards:

MKG: 6'7 height-7.0 wingspan -8'8.5 standing reach-233lb
Derozan: 6'6.5 -6'9.5 -8'7 -216
Igoudala: 6'6.8 -6'11 -8'9 -210 **
Gee: 6'6.5- 6'10- 220
Ronnie Brewer: 6'6.7- 6'11.7- 8'7.5-220

This guy... o_O

@SamAmicoFSO
In 2009, Kobe Bryant broke index finger on shooting hand. Injury expected to take 6 weeks to heal. Kobe put on splint. Lakers won 5 straight

No no, I don't blame Scott for this injury. :chuckles:
