LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I love how him saying "Hopefully I can break the mold, so when the next guy comes, he can still get $200 or $300 million and be 33 years old. I'm serious. You guys are laughing, I'm serious. This is the mold I'm trying to break. It's not just about me, it's for the next crew, as well ... I'll be 33 in 15 days. This is my 15th season, and this is the best I've felt in my career. I want it all." is not getting attention like at all. He wants that max deal at 33 to break the mold. He wants to set an example that even at 33yo you can totally get the Max if you take care of your body and still perform. Now which Team again can offer him by far the most money? Right.. the Cavs.

Then add to that, that this Cavs Team looks like the closest Group since Lebrons return. And that before IT has returned to the Floor.. And we have an Assett in the BKN Pick that we can either keep and add a much needed Defensive Rim Protecting Big.. the 2018 Draft is full of them.. or dangle it in front of a Team like OKC.. where it just wont start working out and they might take the Pick before PG13 leaves for nothing.

Max Money + Contender with the most flexibilty of any Team ever was on + Home .. i really doubt he leaves again.

Obviously he wont directly say so to keep the Front Office on their heels but between him saying at Media day that we still plans to retire a Cavs and now this.. i really get the feeling he stays.

The only thing that is worrying me about Lebron right now is that he's wearing glasses in those latest post-game videos. Near-sighted NBA superstar = not a thing.

I don’t think those glasses have lenses in them :chuckle:

Yeah, LeBron had LASIK several years back, his vision should be fine. If LeBron plays long enough to need glasses again, he can wear rec specs.

Do you.....do you think no NBA players wear contact lenses???

LeBron had lasika dn I remember his shot improving that year.

LeBron Wearing glasses is the influence of nerd culture on the NBA

his legs looked kind of tired at times tonight, although as usual he contributed a ton anyway...37 minutes followed by 41 minutes on a back to back, that is when age will show if it ever will.

A tough game coming up with a one day break too.

Are you really just going to summarily ignore the responses to your hilarious statement about LeBrons eyewear? Like it never happened?

Thats gotta be the game that Wade starts to get his legs back and has a big game. Milwaukee is a tough place to play.

Triple double but bad percentages, he looked more like Westbrook tonight...

he was off tonight, and took some poor shots, and held the ball a lot before taking those shots, BUT he was still doing other things and making a big time impact.

These tidbits from Lloyd today are too good not to share. Stuff like this is why he’s the MVP. GOAT:

1. I had a theory. Call it a narrative (I hate that word). It’s sort of obvious, sort of not. But as LeBron James posted his third consecutive triple-double, his fourth in his last five games and his sixth of the season, it became apparent that this is the first time in eight years James hasn’t played alongside another ball-dominant wing.

2. He had to share the ball with Dwyane Wade in Miami. When he returned to Cleveland, he had Kyrie Irving. But now that Jose Calderon is temporarily the starting point guard and Kevin Love is the No. 2, James has all the controls and therefore perhaps should be putting up staggering numbers every night.

3. Except there’s one problem.

4. “My usage rate isn’t that high,” James told me. “Not as high as it’s been before.”

5. He’s right. James is putting up these staggering totals with a usage rate of 30.5 — nearly identical to last season (30.0) when he was playing with — and at times deferring to — Irving. His usage rate was 31.4 the year they won the championship and 32.3 his first season back in Cleveland.

6. The last time he played without a ball-dominant sidekick, his final season in Cleveland before departing for Miami, his usage rate was 33.5, which ranks among the highest of his career. It has never been that high since.

7. In other words, James may have the controls at his disposal, but he isn’t dominating the ball as much as it may seem.

8. “Of course when you put the ball in his hands a lot things are going to happen. He’s going to make things happen,” Tyronn Lue said. “But he’s always been on good teams and that’s what it’s about. When he gets tired or he’s gassed, other people can step up and make plays. So, it’s a team effort.”

9. But an effort James is guiding. Over the last 19 games, James is averaging 26.9 points, 9.6 assists and 9.5 rebounds. It’s no surprise the Cavs are 18-1. Yet despite scoring 20 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and passing for 15 assists, James was critical of his play in part because he shot 8 of 23 and committed six turnovers. Lue asked him Saturday if he wanted the day off. James refused in part because they were already without Wade.

10. “I actually played pretty bad tonight,” James said. “I was kind of lazy with the ball at times, and my teammates did a good job of bailing me out.”
