LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Guys try not to overreact. We all knew this would be a challenge. And we all know what' going to happen. It's a plot fit for a movie. We struggle at first. Everyone criticizes us and loses hope in us. Then we show signs of clicking. End of the year, we find ourselves winning 1 series…2 series…3…NBA Final, where King James finally brings the title to Cleveland….Or so I hope. :chuckle:

But seriously we'll be fine. Anyways, I think it's more fun this way lol. That way it'll taste much sweeter when we start winning later in the season.

I'm not going to heavily judge LBJ just yet. His style of game just requires an adjustment period for everyone involved.

Case in point, go back and look at his game logs and splits from his first year in Miami when he was 25 and in his absolute prime. His numbers were way off for the first few months of the year and then his efficiency skyrocketed around late Jan/early Feb.

At about the 25-30 game mark Lebron should have a good feel for where his looks are coming from and vice versa for guys like Love/Irving.

That said his defensive EFFORT has left a lot to be desired at times.

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

And when all the brokenhearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be

For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Yeah, there will be an answer let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be

I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

Yeah, let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

Of course we'll be fine. But LeBron James has been playing bad basketball and deserves criticism right now.

I was one of the sheep who didn't criticize LeBron for anything during his first stint in Cleveland. Not anymore.

Right there with you. The question is, does LeBron James, who is "his biggest critic," come to the realization that he's playing mediocre basketball at the moment and as a result, that his level of effort and play is having a negative effect on the team as a whole?

He isn't out there looking to get guys going, he is pounding the air out of the ball, getting cheap turnovers, and appears to be bored. It takes a savvy veteran to just put your boots on and come to play, but other than varejao and marion, who fits that bill in this rotation? Talk is cheap. Now we reach the point where they must just do...

He should really keep his mouth shut at this point. No one wants to see you point the finger at your teammates and pouting about guys not knowing what it take to win when you aren't even leading by example. He's playing lazy on the defensive end and has somehow regressed in terms of being able to consistently finishing around the rim.

He should've adjusted with time and evolve his game as a low-post scorer, but it's hard to believe that he has shot above 55% from the field before with the way he's playing right now. He needs to stop playing soft and take more shots closer to the rim instead of forcing those threes that he likes to take. I don't expect him to dunk over people on a consistent basis anymore, but he should be able to play more comfortably around the rim, but for whatever reasons, he's not and he's almost shying around from posting up.

LeBron doesn't have to age the way Jordan did or Kobe does. He's a different type of player than those guys. Those guys had amazing footwork in their primes and had good shooting touch. LeBron is more physically gifted than them, he needs to accept that playing PF benefits his game even though he's not comfortable playing it, but he'd be better off evolving as a PF in the foreseeable future.

Very interesting locker room interview from LeBron post game. Was pulled up by the media on his lack of effort.

Reporter: "You guys went 9 minutes without a field goal in the 4th, but when you stay at the offensive end and basically leave the guys to defend 4 on 5, is that something that, you know, is that a good example I guess for a leader to set?"

LeBron: "No, it's never a good example. Umm.. Did I get back?"

Reporter: Ugh, eventually, yes."

LeBron: *head nod*

Its clear from his interviews lebron has read alot about leadership over the years, unfortunately words dont make a leader actions do so he needs to either start playing well or start playing with effort. I have a feeling that if he concentrates with the latter the former will come in time. At the moment his attitude has lost him all the authenticity his reputation allows. I think hats off to kyrie for setting an example in spite of the poor role model lebron is being at the moment

It's crazy how drastically our opinions on these things can change from week to week.
