LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It is true that James played poorly offensively when Miami started off 9-8, but he was all world defensively. In those 17 games, James had a negative plus/minus in only 5 games, three of them being -1. During the entire season, he had a negative plus/minus only 15 times and a double digits negative plus/minus just FIVE times. He's already had FIVE negative plus/minus games, and already four double digit negative games out of just 11. In 2010, he was a defensive force.

He preaches patience but visibly pouts and lags on defense when one of his teammates takes a bad shot or makes a bad decision.

The clip above wasn't just a bad shot. LeBron was WIDE OPEN under the basket. An easy pass and an easy 2 points. Instead Dion shoots and misses a 3. And it's not the only example of Dion taking bad shots. He has to stop taking those contested step back jumpers early in the shot clock.

You don't need to show your frustration at that exact moment. Box out, get back on defense, and address it with him in the huddle or after the game.

As selfish as the shot was by Waiters, it's just as selfish to take yourself out of the play when he makes a mistake. It just compounds the anxiety and takes everyone out of it mentally.

That's a teaching moment. Not a "let me distance myself from this to look like I have nothing to do with it" moment.

let's be honest.. LeBron stood in the corner last night just like he did in Portland .. and a lot like he did in the Boston series back in 2010... he also did it vs Boston last week when we went down and if it wasn't for Kyrie goin off and then challenging LeBron to be more aggressive then we would be 4-7 right now.. instead of pouting be a man and go up to Dion or Kyrie or whomever he has a problem with and say something to them .. I understand he did that to Kyrie and Kyrie has played much better since but he needs to lead by example much more.. team is supposed to move the ball and he is as guily as anyone of dribbling too much.. also his passing and ball handling has been medicore this year at best.. 4 turnovers a game and it seems like more to be honest

Probably aggravates Bron that Dion has the tools to be really good and a difference maker, honestly, but chooses to often play playground basketball. How many times have you guys yelled at the screen saying, "Why take that fucking shot? For fuck's sake." I do it every game. That three he took on the break was egregious and Bron lost his cool, which he shouldn't but he probably expects things to pick up by game 11.

Blatt's offense doesn't work all that well when there's so much ball watching. Even when we do get Love the ball in the post, everyone stands around and watches. We don't see much cutting, we don't see much action away from the ball. James could thrive incredibly in Blatt's offense if he finds the energy to move when he doesn't have the ball and use his size and strength to get quick position in the paint the way Jordan did (especially later in his career when he handled the ball less and became an efficient scorer from 15 feet in with the aid of the turnaround but also with the aid of the quick baskets when teammates found him when he quickly flashed into the lane off of off-ball actions) and also the way Bird to a certain extent did. He doesn't play that way, though, which is unfortunate because it would make this offense so much better and make James that much unguardable. I'm not sure if he has the energy left to be that type of player.

I think Lebron is probably questioning if he left a year to early. Bosh can still play and Wade looks to be in better shape this year. McRoberts has been a decent pickup.

We got problems. Dion is mad as a hornet at Blatt. Lebron is mad at him for that, yet understands Blatt's rotations are terrible and Dion is being treated unfairly. Definitely need a team meeting. Lebron needs to tell Dion to "be a man" and play the game no matter what. Then Lebron may go to Blatt with the issues. Love is another problem. He can't be the man he was at Minnie and is acting depressed and sullen. Lebron needs to tell him to man up much like Dion and become the man he should be on a championship team. Then we go to Blatt and tell him to get plays spotting him up in the post some more. Maybe Love will make a better effort on defense.

I'm not trying to be a dick but the in better shape Wade has already missed 5 games... and the decent pick up McRoberts has missed 4 games.. is avg 2.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg and is shooting 16% from 3 so I don't know WTF you are talking about.. Bosh is playing OK but avg 20 and 8 on a team with nobody else to score isn't a great accomplishment.. he still isn't the player Love is despite what anyone wants to think.. he is better at 1 aspect and that is D.. not rebounding, shooting, or passing .. IMO Love is greatly and I mean greatly underused... I'd much rather see Love in the post than LeBron dribbling the air out of the ball then hoisting a 3 or a PNR with Andy that results in a bad LeBron pass or Andy fumbling it.. this is a much better situation for LeBron quite frankly other than 1 week he has flat out played like shit IMO.. at least like shit compared to what he can do.. I said well before LeBron came back that LeBron will come here because he can get a younger big 3 and play it up as I'm coming home.. trust me .. LeBron knew from day 1 that Love was coming and they would be instant contenders.. that letter was well written by his PR dept .. some of it is true but we are seeing that whole this is going to be a long process and he is up for the challenge stuff was BS... honestly I will admit he is my 3rd fav of the big 3 and even before he left I had questions about his heart and I still do.. I've never been all in on LeBron .. I'm a Cavs fan and I hope we win it all.. don't think I will ever be sold 100% on him though as a true leader and to be quite honest as a guy that rises to a challenge as well as he acts like he does.. I mean let's be quite honest he left to form a super team and was lucky to have not gone 1-3 in the NBA finals if not for an epic SA collapse in game 6 where he shot 2 brick 3's and had 2 costly turnovers that he was bailed out for.. last yr his supporting cast wasn't that great in the finals and they were blown out in historical fashion where he sat on the bench the last 7 minutes and people began saying I have seen that look before... when the going gets tough LBJ relocates... maybe this is too harsh but I still think there is certainly some truth to it

Sorry, but there was a guy trailing Lebron, a guy standing back waiting for Waiters to pass to Lebron. Waiters had a wide open three. He has to hit that. It wasn't even a fallback.

Miami is done.

Wade is a part time player, Bosh isn't as good as Love is, and Spoelstra didn't make the necessary coaching adjustments he needed to last year, especially in the Finals.

Miami has gotten off to a solid start, but it's only a matter of time until Wade misses even more games and things get worse for the Heat.

Cleveland might not seem like paradise through the first 11 games, but it's better than where Miami is headed.

Chris Haynes sounds like a drama queen.
I'm actually really shocked at this. I liked his stuff in Portland. It's almost like the PD or whatever they're called now put out a mandate to their guys to incendiary and ESPN-ish.

Like, I feel like those dudes get bonus checks for extra hot takes.

watching the replay of the spurs game today.. lebron brings it up, dion and harris both wide open for a three.. pass went right by dion to harris. i concur lbj does not like dion right now

Or maybe LeBron just thought Joe was more open than Dion? Or maybe LeBron passed it to Joe instead of Dion because he thought Joe had a higher chance of making the shot, being that he is a better shooter?

To conclude that LeBron doesn't like Dion from that sequence is ridiculous..

they were both equally open. pair it with dions lack of minutes and his headshaking at shot selection and make a decision about how much he likes playing with him

So if they were both equally open and Harris is regarded as the better shooter between them, why would LeBron pass it to Dion?

You're reaching hard right here...

i think you have a hardon for me because i called you out regarding steroid use and you should take a foot off the pedal and communicate with respect.

my argument was that lebron does not like playing with dion. if you'd like to debate that, debate that go for it.

What the hell are you talking about?...

I'm just saying that for you to conclude that LeBron doesn't like Dion because he passed to Joe Harris instead of him when they were both wide open is absurd. Harris is a better shooter, of course he's going to pass it to him instead of Dion.
