LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You don't need to show your frustration at that exact moment. Box out, get back on defense, and address it with him in the huddle or after the game.

As selfish as the shot was by Waiters, it's just as selfish to take yourself out of the play when he makes a mistake. It just compounds the anxiety and takes everyone out of it mentally.

That's a teaching moment. Not a "let me distance myself from this to look like I have nothing to do with it" moment.

you are assuming he hasn't been addressing it - it's not the first poor decision by Dion.

Did he just commit a mistake or did one of his teammates?

My opinion about that vine would differ greatly depending on the circumstances..

So if they were both equally open and Harris is regarded as the better shooter between them, why would LeBron pass it to Dion?

You're reaching hard right here...

Anyone have the longer clip of the play? I'm pretty sure LeBron didn't pass to Dion.

Sorry, but there was a guy trailing Lebron, a guy standing back waiting for Waiters to pass to Lebron. Waiters had a wide open three. He has to hit that. It wasn't even a fallback.

There wasn't a defender within 15 feet of LeBron when Dion caught the ball. And I didn't say Dion took a step back shot there, just that he takes way too many of those early in the shot clock with plenty of time to move the ball and get a better shot.

Dion's problem has always been that he thinks he's a better player than he actually is. If he would just play within himself and not try to force things, he wouldn't see his minutes shrinking and we'd may even have a better record.

he didnt, but his argument is that it isnt relative to whether or not lbj likes playing with him but rather was the best decision at the time

Lol nitpicking one play doesn't explain anything either way.

My take, from the game thread:

You know what?

Its not Blatt
Its not Dion
Its not Tristan

It is LeBron James. He has been fucking garbage lately. Like worst player on the floor bad in half our games.

I don't know what his problem is but he sucks. Done making excuses for his pathetic play. Nothing else gets fixed unless LeBron starts playing basketball again.

I don't think LeBron is the problem. There are many problems. He just isn't helping be much of the solution right now. I think he will figure it out, its just taking longer than I would have hoped. I think he thought he wouldn't have to be as aggressive as he used to, but he clearly needs to attack and try to score like his old self.

I don't even think he has to do that. He just needs to come to play on the defensive end. When he does, the rest of the team follows. That's been the case for a while now, going back to his last stint here.

It's tough not to panic at the way this team looks. I mean, I'd have been pissed if we were 5-7 if LeBron (and subsequently Love and a bunch of corpses) hadn't come here and we had the team we'd have had in an alternate universe.

With this team, with the best player on the planet on our side, this is beyond inexcusable. He needs to be the one to grab the bull by the horns and say 'hop on boys' until everyone else starts to figure it out. Hell, Kyrie is our best player right now. Hands down.

LeBron is one frustrating athlete to follow sometimes. He has gifts that are nearly unimaginable, and for whatever reason chooses not to use them far too often. The apathy just slays me. We ALL know what this man is capable of night in and night out.

I'm just.. it's got to turn around, right?

I only have one explanation...

It's fucking simple. He's a smart gifted freak athlete, but he's a teddy bear at heart. I believe he wants to win, he just shows it in a passive aggressive way and I'm not a fan of that. It makes him look soft. LeBron needs to be aggressive night in and night out, but for whatever reasons, he doesn't want to be until someone reminds him of what he's capable of. It's frustrating to watch him sometimes. This is a guy who can average 30+ PPG on above 50% if he wants to, but he'd rather play in super passive mode.
