LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rick Bonell , one of the Charlotte Hornets beat writers from the Charlotte Observer was advancing the "Delly is dirty and how would LeBron feel if this happened to him.." narrative on twitter earlier tonight and I defended Delly and posted the vine of the play where Horford had a hold of Delly's arm and was pushing down, then went all Ric Flair on Delly's head and neck w/ his elbow. I asked him how this was Delly's fault, and why was Delly getting shit doing the same thing every coach begs his bench guys to do; fight for every ball and play balls-out every play.

His response was that he was "through talking about it" and wanted to enjoy his Memorial Day. Fair enough I say to myself, and backed off and didn't tweet to him anymore.....only to find out he continues to tweet the same nonsense to others who agree w/ him, giving them virtual high-fives the entire time.

This is a beat writer for an NBA team acting like a petulant child for God's sake! This is how ridiculous this narrative has been advanced by guys who should really know better but act like they are still in Junior High.

Unbelievable.
It's getting cute and ridiculous at this point lol. So let me get this straight. (1) Antic pushes Lebron in the air and Lebron miraculously does not appear to hurt/break anything trying to brace himself while hitting the ground. (2) Horford executes an intentional and viscous elbow that had malice written all over it and connects with Delly's head but for some miraculously reason, he wasn't knocked the fuck out or left with any head/facial fractures/concussion. And all they can do is accuse Delly of being dirty? These idiots are something else. Let's see how some of these bitches feel if they subjected themselves to an intentional elbow from a 6'10", 260 lb man to the head with the intention of knocking your ass out. Maybe then, some of them would concentrate their vile towards the actual act that is CLEARLY INTENTIONAL AND MEANT TO TAKE A GUY OUT.

LeBron is easily one of the, if not the most, taken for granted stars in the history. He gives is it all night in, night out and fans will demand even more. A guy like him wouldn't even show up in a few generations like some kind of an anime hero trope shit. Recognize, appreciate, and respect bruhs.

As far as how much is expected out of them relative to their teams success and how much they deliver over such a long period of time, it really is just Jordan, Kobe, and Bron over the past 30 years.

I loved he stood up for Delly but Delly explained it much clearer. This shit is getting out of hand...

If you watched prime Shaq, I don't think he can be left off the list. In his 20s Shaq was LeBron-esque. He wrung every ounce from his body so you forget what he used to be. And plz plz plz do not forget Magic johnson who lost some of his prime years and still is an extraordinary player. Those 5 easily best of last 30-35 yrs

I love the Miami RealGM fans and their delusions. They are actually talking about LBJ coming back in 2016. I don't think they understand that he wants to be here. In Ohio. With the young core. And his giant house. They don't seem to realize he has already put his Miami home on the market and he never liked it there.

It's good entertainment.

Lol Miami will now fade into the sun. They should be grateful they received shaq in a trade and lebron from fa. Both were rare events but they now have deluded Miami fans into thinking it will be a recurring occurrence.

I've been trying to find a word to describe that game by Lebron. I've settled for Herculean.
Just a huge game and a prototypical legendary game. Just think how well he's playing and he still can't buy a bucket.

Oh yeah someone needs to kidnap Amon ones as his 'coaching' is screwing up lebrons jumper

Definitely good points. Although I didn't mean pure talent/result, just burden on what was needed from them every night to achieve greatness for team. I don't think Shaq took that burden as seriously as he could have. With a mental outlook that Kobe and Michael always had and Brin developed, Shaq could/should have won more titles due to his sheer physical dominance. Magic had Kareem, Worthy, and Byron.

Those five(magic, Michael, Bron, Shaq, Kobe) probably do represent the best five of the past 30-35 years, but just think that more was needed and delivered by Michael, Kobe, and Bron

But where does Duncan fall??? He's by far the best defensive (and that IMO includes MJ) in that group and he has 5 titles.

Amusing piece by Windy about Game 3. The theme is basically "as a jaded connisseur of Lebron's playoff heroics, I can tell you that last night's game, while pretty amazing by the standards of a normal player, is no big deal for him"

http://espn.go.com/blog/cleveland-cavaliers/post/_/id/973/lebron-pulls-out-customary-playoff-heroics

Soem excerpts:

"Comparing this performance, as deep as it was in numbers and moments, to James’ 2007 conference finals effort against the Detroit Pistons, when he scored 29 of the Cavs’ last 30 points on the road against a vastly superior team, lacks perspective and the understanding of exactly who James has become.

It was a clutch day to be sure but frankly, it was also just another day at the playoff office. He won his team a game they would’ve lost without him. He has done it scores of times before and he’ll probably do it dozens more times again. If there’s a compliment to be paid to James, it’s not making a big deal of it because he has been producing these sorts of performances like Boeing churns out airplanes. They’re big and gleaming but they’re also everywhere."

and this somewhat snarky observation:

" When ogling the stat line, remember that James once played a playoff road elimination game in which he had 27 points, 19 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals but was later accused of quitting."

Ugh.

Saw this on RealGM. For the past ten years, LeBron is now the following in the playoffs:
1st in total points
1st in total rebounds
1st in total assists
1st in total steals
5th in total blocks

That's nuts. He has almost 2000 more playoff points in the past ten years than the next closest competitor (Kobe).
