LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What's interesting is Lebron can't make a jumper but he is burying his FT's at almost 80% against ATL.

Not sure how to explain that other than mental - but you can see how having that post game as a staple to fall back on makes him a much improved player. Bron can still dominate and control an entire game without even making a jumper.

[Still, would be ALOT easier if he can find his J before the Finals!]

The problem with LBJ is that when he loses people always say he quit or choked

It's like did Jordan always win? No

But when it comes to the King. If he loses it means he choked. It doesn't work that way for MJ for some reason

the problem is people take the best part of Jordan's complete career and compare it to what LeBron is doing or has done at at a fixed point in time. They also remember some of the teams he played while they were at their best and think they were that good every time he played them.

There are so many issues like that.

A big one is Jordan is know for his killer instinct. Did he not have that killer instinct when he lost his first 6 playoffs. Or the year he came back from baseball and turned the ball over on the critical play against the Magic? LeBron has an awesome killer instinct. It was on full display in the 3rd quarter of game 2 in this series. He saw the chance to put the game away and take full control of the series. You could see it was going to happen before it happened. I told my family it was coming.

What LeBron is doing this year is like Jordan losing Rodman for the playoffs and having Pippen out in the conference finals, yet still winning every game against a 60 win team.

If anyone had any doubts that LeBron is better than Jordan, this playoff run should settle it. Instead far, far too many people aren't going to appreciate what they are watching until after his career is over. LeBron doesn't have to match Jordan's career stats when his career isn't nearly over to be better than Jordan. He does have to win some more championships to have a better career than Jordan. There is a difference.

LeBron and Blatt should both get way more credit than they are getting for what we're doing this playoffs. Maybe people will figure it out next year when we dominate the league.

I wish the word choke was never used again in relation to sports.

It's an insult to anybody that has taken too big of a bite of steak that has some gristle on it, or anybody that has had some popcorn that just sticks in the back of your tongue on the cusp of going down your throat.

Lebron is gonna go for 50 tonight because he wants that 9 days of rest haha.

Do great leaders play in chill mode or vacation in Miami for two weeks when the team is shorthanded?

Ahem. Jordan took time off after their first 3peat. James went to 4 finals in a row and looks like another. He can have a month before All-Star weekend for all I care before the real run starts.

I think that Lebron is the player to have on your team and I admire what he does leadership wise etc', however I do think he needs to refine/clean up his act sometimes...
I get that he worn himself out this game but I rather see him stay on D than on O.. And you could see him not trying to get back on D few times and its just sends a meh msg to his teamates..
Also - try to watch the 2:43 mark on the third - Lebron bunny -bruce lee- hopping... Was I the only one noticing? Its nice but a bit too cocky in my view... And sends bad vibe to the team..

There's a possible explanation for that: LeBron's ankle is bothering his shooting mechanics more than he's letting on. That clutch three pointer he had against Atlanta last game was a moment of pure instinct/ignoring his ankle.

Lebron has to be PERFECT, all the time.

That expectation is insane. Look what the dude has done. Get lebron on your team, you go to the Finals. For fucks sake, that is so ridiculous.

Best ever in my book. He looked so incredibly calm during OT in game 3. To say he has less of a killer instinct than Kobe is hilarious.

The irony is that if he didnt take those two weeks off he probably doesnt have the energy to get the team pass the Bulls without Love/healthy Kyrie.

Jump shooting is all rhythm.

LeBron tends to dribble himself out of rhythm at times, which is evident by his FG% by dribble stats.

When he makes a quick move, wether it is 0-3 dribbles to the hoop or a pull up, his shooting percentages go WAY up.

2015 Playoffs:

0-3 Dribbles - 74/160 - 46.3%
4+ Dribbles - 65/168 - 38.7%

Eastern Conference Finals:

0-3 Dribbles - 18/35 - 51.3%
4+ Dribbles - 18/50 - 36%

LeBron is still a very good shooter when he finds his jumpers within the offense. He's a much less effective jump shooter in ISO situations.

Outside of 14 feet (ECF):

0-2 Dribbles - 7/14 - 50%
3+ Dribbles - 1/16 - 6.3%

The outside of 14 feet numbers are most telling, as taking 3+ dribbles and getting (at best) a 14 footer, just isn't good offense. If you also look at his AST'd numbers on made FG's, they are WAY down from the regular season. He was assisted on 34.5% of his shots in the regular season. That number is down to 23.7% in the post season, which is a massive drop. Part of that is injuries but part of that is way too much ISO as well.

He's also just shooting ALOT more than he has in past years due to injuries and reverting to some older habits. He's averaging 25 FGA per game this playoffs, which is on pace to be his career high. Efficiency will always suffer with that type of usage. In Miami he averaged 18.4 and 16.2 FGA per game in their two titles years.
