LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That oop on jason terry...

I lol'd

LeBron is a machine. Every time he has gone to play with Team USA, he has come back even better as a player. It's never caused fatigue. If anything, it will help keep him in shape.

I'd love to see LeBron play in 2016. He's going to be what, 31 years old? Come on....you guys don't want to watch LeBron basically be Magic Johnson with possibly two other Cavaliers and the other 8-10 best players in the NBA to win another gold medal for Team USA?

I'd be disappointed if he didn't play one more Olympics.
I see your point, and trust me, personally I really want to see him play. But we have to take into consideration the injury risk factor. I know, he is a machine and never gets injured, but there is still a risk regardless. And I think fatigue will play more of a factor since he is getting older (he is "young" but has played a ton of minutes and games), and you can almost count on us playing deep into June as long as he is healthy. The more minutes and games add up as he only continues to get older, the more the injury risk continues to increase and it will even catch up to someone super human as LeBron. And I'd prefer to prolong his career as long as possible.

On the other hand, it isn't like LeBron has to play many minutes or even really "try" for them to easily win every game. It would probably be more like a vacation for him honestly, especially if they are more conscience about his minutes.

I think he can go play for Team USA just for the fun of it. Be a bench player. Come in just for some showtime and to keep in shape. Play like 15 MPG.
I meant Team USA is going to dismantle any other team either way. Just let him play, not get into much contact, dunk on some poor Lithuanian's head and have some fun with his friends and favorite coach.

EDIT: I obviously know that given Bron's personality and competitiveness, there is absolutely ZERO chance of that happening. But that is what I would like to see.

I'd like to see Lebron be an assistant coach to be part of the team, but give his body time off.

If we win in 2016 he'll definitely be taking a honeymoon olympic trip

Is there a video out there with all of LeBron's scenes from Trainwreck?

I have absolutely no desire to watch that movie, but I would like to see LeBron's scenes (he was funny in the commercials).

You watched more than 1 commercial? You saw all the funny parts.

Edit: it's to UA but that is still a huge commitment and huge opportunity for some kids whose families simply don't have the money or don't exist as a traditional family. It's investment in the kids, incentive and motivation for the kids, and investment in Akron itself. Great stuff

There are a lot of things you can criticize him for but he's a genuinely good man.

Considering the odds he had to face it's nothing short of a miracle as to what he became.

I apologize if you took my post as anything other than jabbing @David.

I agree that it is amazing what LeBron is doing for his community in Akron, especially considering NE Ohio is not exactly the darling of many non profits. He's a once in a generation gift to this area in more ways than his hooping ability.

I think you should be more concerned about turning yourself into a young, black kid. And remember, black face if frowned upon these days.

Huh?

The program starts in the third grade and they're 4-5 years in so the first class of kids are now in 7th grade. The have to meet certain school attendance and GPA requirements to graduate through the program. Being a specific race or ethnicity is not a pre-requisite though there are geographical and school district criteria, as it's not a program he established as a private citizen for all of Ohio or even all of NE Ohio.

It's a great foundation that he's set up and the type of long term philanthropic work that can be even more meaningful than single one time donations to a charity.

It was tasteless and offensive.
