^Informative piece by Lee Jenkins that really gives insight into how hard LeBron took that finals loss, his focus this year, and how/why he is trying to change some of the Cavaliers bad habits.
Wow... this is such a fantastic piece. Lee Jenkins is the best player-profile sportswriter in the business for my money. I got pretty emotional while reading it.

I admire the hell out of LeBron for his unrivaled work ethic and how much it means to him now to win HERE. People take it for granted that if he so chose, he could have very easily stayed in Miami or teamed up with more established players or franchises if the goal was to just collect championship rings every year by any means necessary. Instead he accepted the challenge of completely changing the culture of the Cavs around and fully embraced the leadership aspects of turning this into a championship-caliber organization again. All of us as fans are insanely lucky to be able to watch this guy play for our team (and often carrying us while we’re injured) night in and night out. That’s why I’m committed to watching every regular season game and don’t take any of these few remaining years where he’s the best player in the game for granted... because it’ll all be over before we know it, and we won’t see such a transcendent player like this suit up for the city of Cleveland again in any of our lifetimes.

Could not have said it better myself.

The only way the cavs get rid of their bad habits is if Lebron gets rid of his bad habits. He doesnt want his to team cruise? Stop coming out cruising. Doesnt want his team to play soft? Stop playing soft. Doesnt want his team to settle for bad jump shots, well you see where im going here. Lebron is complaining left and right and is out here showing little effort.

I'm sorry but you've been ranting unchallenged long enough now. Your hyperbole is through the roof. You can accuse LeBron of some things.. lack of effort isn't one of them. Not this season. Hell, he's far and away the biggest reason we have the best record in the East. He's playing at a near MVP level this season. So get out of here with that weak shit.

On a related note, I mention in today's column that since calling out the team's FT shooting in Detroit, LBJ has shot 82.4%.

Sometimes when he calls others out, it's like he's doing it so he'll be shamed if he doesn't change himself.

Lebron is always going to put up MVP numbers but he has 0 chance of getting MVP this season so i dont get where you are coming up with that. And you act like my statement is so ridiculous. One of Lebrons biggest weaknesses is that he coasts alot of games, and a lot of quarters. I understand hes trying to conserve his body but if he wants his teammates to play with fire, he has to start.

If the other team gets on a run, that when Lebron needs to take over. Thats how hes gonna prove to his teammates that hes serious. The thing with Lebron, he likes to kill his own momentum. Hes constantly wanting to "heat check" after just making 1 three. Its like if he makes 1 three, hes addicted to shooting one right after. Or he will be on a nice run, then not get a call, cry to the ref and not get back on defense which kills the teams momentum if they score on the other end.

I mean, is it that crazy to expect these things out of the best player in the world? And yea, I still think hes light years above Curry.

Lebron's not perfect but it's just wrong to expect him to fill in for all the flaws the team might have. If the other team goes on a run, that's when the CAVALIERS have to respond. If Lebron tries to 'take over' every time that happens he is going to destroy team play and have himself drained and exhausted before the playoff comes. As it is, there's often too much LeISO at critical moments as he tries to take it all on himself.

So who did LeBron piss off at ESPN? And this is a modest day now.

Clickbait-ish title aside it's a good article lol

I wish espn would give lebron the kobe treatment

I wrote this in the Blatt thread but it maybe time to move Lebron to the 4 for larger chunks of the game: he's just so tough to guard when he's going downhill with spacing. I can't stand watching the ineptness of TT on offense or JJ on defense much longer.

Pressure just mounting like crazy. Broussard was just on WKNR talking about how he thinks LBJ might not win another title. Man, I fucking hate that doomsday shit, but I bet it's in the back of everyone's mind. A clock is ticking. Where the hell is the sense of urgency?
