Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
D-rose has two season ending knee injuries...still athletic as ever.

Lebron takes it easy in the offseason...loses a couple inches on his vertical
That would be age kicking in it happens

Yea I know. Just ranting a little. I'm more than ecstatic to have him back.

They have got to start getting this dude some rest. Tendinitis in both knees?

The thing that kills me the most is teams dunking the ball constantly, wide open looks in the paint.

I want to contribute an external rant if possible. I'm getting sick of seeing Washington, Toronto & Chicago winning.

They're all playing some very good basketball at the moment and I know that there is no need for us to fight tooth and nail for a top 2 spot, but with each game they win and each game we lose, we're giving those upper-echelon Eastern teams not only statistical ascendancy but psychological as well.

We're getting destroyed in the paint. Griffin needs to find us a TRUE center, or this team isn't going anywhere this year. I know they said this will be a process, but that process also involves our meal ticket looking highly frustrated 70% of the time.

The bench and defense again are concerns. Can the GM find something before the deadline?

The bench is a concern, but Mike Miller is out, and Outback Jesus still seemed not 100%. We are still building chemistry. Give it until closer to the trade deadline to see where our bench is at. Also, holding the opponent to 88 points isn't terrible. That is right on point with Blatt ' s 22 points or less per quarter.

Not only that but the Cavs get off to a huge start blowing the opponent out, then we see the lead just fizzle out and they go cold.
No help from the bench.
That has to stop..

A lot of that has to do with lineups Blatt puts out there. Kyrie should play until 6:00 in the first and come in for the whole 2nd quarter. Love should play until 3:00 and come it at 9:00 in the 2nd quarter and LeBron should play the whole first quarter and then come in at 7:00 in the 2nd quarter. This balances the lineups a ton and makes sure one of the big 3 is always out there.

I really don't want to say this because I love Andy, but he has been killing us recently. Not playing great defense, missing or getting blocked under the basket, forcing up bad shots... He's playing like the center version of Marion. I want to see Kirk get some minutes if we don't sign a healthy center.

Agree with you. I hate to say it as well (on account of Andy's sentimental value to this team and our fan base) but he's really been struggling. What's really been surprising me the most though is not the mediocre defense or bad shots in the paint but rather his lack of energy and tenacity. He hasn't been chewing up the glass and rigorously battling for offensive boards and loose balls the way that we know he can.

It actually looks as if he's passing the torch onto Tristan as it's TT that seems to be doing all the hustling and dirty work around the glass and in the paint as of late.

With Delly and TT coming off the bench, you get the hustle and energy AV used to provide us. The rebounding. The opposing team backing off you :chuckle: I really hope Blatt experiments with Andy coming off the bench. He needs to get better at playing positive minutes with LeBron on the bench. He easily has the ability to be a 10/10 guy, but he needs to start hustling and going up strong.

We need a legitimate starting center. If we get that and Andy is coming off the bench as a borderline starter we are looking amazing.

I don't disagree with you guys but it is what it is..dude is losing his step also and declining..it is why a lot of us wanted a center for a long time. Even when healthy Andy's not a rim protecter.
