Luol Deng

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Welcome Loul Deng.

My biggest concern is that Brown is gonna run this guy into the ground. Book it. You heard it here first, with the way that Mike plays veterans...... getting him this horse was good, but Luol should be terrified. Eat your wheaties Lu.

I also like that it allows Alonzo to go back to his natural fit on the team and that's situational backup defender. Gee is great to throw on a CP3 for a few minutes to give them some strange looks and make them uncomfortable.

Our leader in minutes played per game is Kyrie at 35.3. The bulls played Deng 37.4 minutes/game this year, which is the least minutes they've played him in 5 years. Far from terrified, he should be relieved he's coming here.

Welcome aboard, Luol! Sorry about the misspelling in the title of the post :) :)

We need you to stay, too. Once you see the facilities and the glut of young talent, we're hoping you stick around.

Cheers!

Re: Welcome Loul Deng.

Other thing I'm interested is how we play Miami now. If you play Gee on Wade and Deng on James, put Thompson on Bosh......

We have some players to defend their attack now.

I think Deng becomes best buds with Varejao, they're both similar hustle/grit players.

Both Andy and Deng have James thoroughly scouted over the years, it's gonna be great to see them D up LeBron.

why would we play Gee over Dion. Dion is playing great defense. Just last game he got the 4th quarter assignment on George and held him scoreless in the period.

Grant said it's been problematic due to flights being delayed/canceled, they are hoping he'll arrive today and tomorrow at the latest. Doesn't sound like he'll be playing tonight by any means.

Such a nice find. Can't wait to see this team roll with a legitimate scorer at the small forward position.

we couldn't send him a limo? It's only a 5 hour drive. By the time you travel to the airport, check in, wait for the fight, fly, land, get picked up, get your ride, and go where you are headed, it takes almost that long.

If it was not for this damn weather. Here in the Toledo area all the roads have been shut down and illegal to drive.

Re: Welcome Loul Deng.

I feel like Dellavedova is going to welcome him with full court defensive pressure as soon as he walks off the plane.

He probably began full-court pressure as soon as he got out of bed at his house in Chicago.

From Jason Lloyd:

As expected, Luol Deng practicing with #Cavs today.

I have a feeling even if the Cavs go off on a 5 game winning streak people will complain Deng is being misused by Brown in hiis first five games. I hope people give the guys some time to gel on the court and get used to each other.

Has he been made available for interviews?
I'm interested to hear what he thinks about everything.
