Manny & Papi failed 03 drug tests

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
BTW, you know who's not on that list...

<--------------------------- A timeless legend...

they were all told in 2003 that they failed.....

Well I doubt that stopped some of them. Papi couldnt hit before he went to Boston, as soon as he gets there, he is a 30+ hr guy. Youre basically saying that steroid just taught him how to hit, and once he learned he quit them?
Just cus 'everyone' was cheating dosent make it right.

you think they failed the steriod test in 03 then weren't ever tested again?

I believe all the guys who failed that were red flagged and actually tested more when they actually made steriods illegal in baseball

and just because you take steriods doesn't mean you can automatically hit 450 foot home runs, you actually have to work on your skills

Steroids help more with recovering from injury and not getting fatigued during the season than it does with jacking 450 ft. home runs. Most of these people juiced to recover from injury or to stay good late in there careers.

bingo...

I like how most people who talk about steroids don't even know how they work...

Thats Growth Hormone. Steroids are for jacking 450ft home runs, growth hormone is for recovering. The problem is that they are lumping them together as performance enhancers.

He spent $24k on HGH and syringes and the dentist who prescribed it to him had his license taken away for fraud and incompetence. Byrd was brought up in the Mitchell report and his excuses are as believable as anyone's. You're right, his pitches barely changed....over the course of 14 years. He was a decent pitcher and took substances to stay decent into his late 30s.

Either way, are you arguing specifically for Byrd or do you believe no one on the Indians ever used steroids?
Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, I don't see how staying decent would make a case for being on roids.. Maybe, just maybe because he wasn't a flame thrower, he never threw his arm out and was still able to throw quality pitches.

Umm, i was arguing for Byrd, not for all Indians, considering I didn't say anything about Hafner not being on roids.

Why the hating on Hafner? He's not on that list, or in the Mitchell report. He's never been linked, other than because of his breathtaking physique and beefy North Dakotan biceps.

I remember listening to a Tribe game in either 04 or 05 when we were playing Minnesota. Hammy was talking about how shrewd the Minny front office was, and how when they let players go, it always seemed their years in Minnesota were far better than their years, with the exception of Ortiz. Now we know why he became an All-Star in boston....
