Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There's definitely a bit of that in regards to the NBA media, even the half decent ones like Zach Lowe. He's tweeting the top players should all be playing 48 minutes, & glossing over the production from Delly & Jones during the playoffs & the other Grantland guys say there's no 3 point depth outside Shump & JR (Delly was good for 14th in the league for 3P% in the regular season)

Is Delly playing well? Best barometer is to check out any Bulls game thread and see the increase in hatred towards him ("Of course this scrub goes off against us", etc, etc)

.....best $800k the Cavs spent all year.

I knew he was cheap...

But $800k? Shit. Bitch is playin fo free.

To answer the query, "Why is Delly so tough?". Consider this......

Kids been great this series. He's knocking down the looks he missed during the season. Effort is the same.
Glad to see things working for him.

Given Kyries injury issues and his struggles because of it - Does it make sense to start DElly or do you think we might be upsetting the apple cart? I personally would like to keep status quo but I would like to increase Delly's minutes and reduce Kyrie's - Until Kyrie gets healthier.

If we can get past Chicago we really won't need Kyrie in the ECF against Washington or Atlanta. Both of those teams are pretenders. Chicago, despite struggling for some of the regular season, is and has been the only other contender in the EC along with the Cavs.

Agreed. I was thinking the same thing. Let the kid heal for 6-10 days--however long it takes to get out of the East--and get him healthy for the finals.

You guys make it sound so easy. The Finals start on June 4th - that's almost a month away. I don't think we coast out of the East in the meantime. Not in this series or the next.

That said, I don't have any answers either. Delly has been solid enough to start for this team but if you go there then you sit KI for the entire game. Doing so will throw major minutes on a limited bench and completely change LBJ's position offensively. We're in trouble without Irving at 75% or better.

If someone told you Delly will out play Kyrie in the playoffs you would think he's insane lol, obviously ky is badly hurt but still huge props for Delly for coming up big for us again and again gotta love him.

Delly hasn't outplayed Kyrie in the playoffs, grow up people. The last few games since Kyrie aggravated his foot injury, yes, Delly has outplayed Kyrie, but not for the whole playoffs.

obviously I'm talking about the last few games not the whole playoffs.

Handled it well, significant pressure in that game situation with no timeouts left.
