Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As playoff basketball slows down and becomes more physical, with a greater emphasis on skill and team work I feel that it is also a greater test of character, rather than athletic ability. It become more critical to win than be on a highlight reel. Funnily enough I think this is where Delly has strengths and no one can doubt his resolve and character. He will make errors and maybe have a not so great game here and there - but he will give you 100% and he will play every game like it was his last ... and I admire that!

Just came in here to give some love to Delly. He's really stepped up and impressed me these playoffs. Not with his hustle - he always does that. But for the most part, his passing, shot selection and overall play has really improved and has helped the team tremendously. Would love to see a blowout tonight, we need one! Go Cavs.

Cavs desperately need a second play maker against the Bulls. Even if he can't make his own shot, Delly is able to run basic plays that will punish the Bulls pay if they tilt too much towards Lebron. Throw in the fact that he can stretch the floor and is strong enough to keep the Bull's big guards away from the hoop on the other end of the floor, it looks like game 5 is going to be Delly time.

Defensively, I've really enjoyed Shumpert and Delly on the floor together. They frustrate the opponent in very different ways. Shump is so quick and long, his hands are in the passing lanes. Delly is physical gets great positioning in space and gets away with tying the opponent up off the ball. Throw in TT's offensive rebounding and our bench has become one gritty bunch. I didn't expect the play of the starters to be the bigger issue over the depth.

They should consider locking him up for 3 years at 4 million or something like that. Maybe he woudln't take it. I'm just thinking a Mozgov contract.

Maybe he is too good. His athleticism has barely been an issue in the playoffs. He is better in the playoffs than regular season. His decision making has been crucial and he has increased our lead while Lebron has been off the floor. Stellar for a 2nd year player.

Delly is that guy that you hate when he isn't on your team and you love him when he is.

He is Cleveland's version of Noah.
I haven't heard any fans of other teams say they hate Delly.

I never understood the hate for Delly. The dude is a great back up PG.

Can he run plays? Yes.

Can he play defense? Yes.

Can he hit threes? Yes.

Sure he has flaws, but you'll get that with any back up. The guy is a baller, and plays his heart out every minute of every game. I'm not sure what more I could possibly ask for.
