MLB - Trade Rumors and Speculation

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When's the last time the tribe has developed a decent power bat or had one as a prospect? LaPorta was supposed to be that guy but he's trash. I honestly can't think of anyone else recently.

Victor Martinez, Travis Hafner, Carlos Santana?

Take your pick.

I'm talking about Thome like, Manny type power. I'll give you Hafner, but he hasn't really been relevant for several years. Carlos and Victor are both great hitters for their position, but not really what I meant. I was talking about prototypical 1st base or DH kind of hitting.

Then it's Hafner.

MLB is testing for PED's now

Hall of Fame type power doesn't come around all that often...

Oh shit why didn't the Indians think of this? I better call them and let them know that they should draft someone with Thome/Manny power tomorrow.

You think Thome took PED's? I'm sure he did but just didn't know if he was in the Mitchel report.

There's no evidence of it but I've always suspected that he did. He's rarely mentioned in the PED's discussion because he's so well-liked by both fans and media.

Yeah cause that's what I said. Keep trolling these forums Hubs.

Again, not necessarily talking about a HoF player, just used them as examples to illustrate my point. I'm talking about a prototypical 1st base/DH prospect. Besides Hafner and a failed LaPorta I can't think of anyone.

How the hell am I trolling and you're not? Manny teams don't have a 1B/DH that can hit 30-40 home runs. They don't grow on trees and we aren't going to be able to sign any. Something Cleveland fans fail to see.

Because I wasn't saying go get one or why don't we have one right now? I asked when was the last time we even had a prospect in the system who had that potential.

To answer your question though, 90% of your posts are either trolling or just suck. That's why.

I mean, you pointed to Jim Thome and Manny Ramirez....

Those guys don't come around but once in a generation or so.

Hafner was that guy, but ended up getting injured.

I know, I get why you thought that, I was just saying I was using them as examples. They were just the first names that popped into my head.

The Mitchell Report was a biased farce of a "investigation."
