MLB - Trade Rumors and Speculation

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You forgot we get Grady back soon...

....baaaaaaaahahahaha I almost kept a straight face.

Maybe we move Brantley over to Left & Grady goes back to Center? Maybe he can provide some power??..........:chuckles: Who knows. I think the obvious guy we need to go after is Josh Willingham.

Lindor for Stanton eh?

Don't think so...

Maybe Mike Trout, Lindor and Zack Wheeler.

This may be a rediculous question but I feel like everyone is looking to upgrade the bats in our outfield. Why is that?
I understand we aren't getting power from corner outfielders which is prototypical in the MLB but Damon has turned it on of late since starting slow and choo and Brantley are lighting it up. We need to focus on the fact that no one on the infield not named Jason Kipnis is producing consistently

No one ever said it would take Lindor for Stanton straight up.

And we're just dreaming, no need to break our hearts.

I agree with this. Damon is nothing special, but has a .763 OPS in June and .778 in July. Meanwhile, Kotchman is grounding into every double-play possible.

The Kotchman/Santana platoon at 1B is what is killing this team (other than pitching).

Problem is that Marson has been hot, and if you acquire a 1B, it means Santana can't play there (should he start to rebound). I guess he could take over DH and give Hafner days off.

A few of the friends I have from baseball ops around the league like to play the game "Who says no" with guys who obviously aren't going anywhere.

One of the ones we were discussing the other day was Trout vs. Stanton.

Who says no to that and why?

The Angels, considering Trout is likely to win MVP at 20 years old

Trout gets my publicity than the Big Poopshoot.

I'm not personally wanting to upgrade the OF....just the offense in general. It's obvious we need more power...and we have for quite some time. If Hafner and Santana are hitting at the top of their game (and I'm betting that it's either 1 or the other, not both at same time) and everyone else is chipping in, then I'd be confident come October. However, I just don't see it happening. We're not asking Brantley or Choo to be power hitters. Choo is taking just about everything the opposite way and I'm loving it right now. Brantley just hits the ball everywhere. Then you have Left......Damon, Duncan & Cunningham just ain't gettin' it done. They are decent players in their own right....but I digress.

Left handed pitching kills us. We have Lopez, Cunningham, and Duncan....all right-handers, all of whom aren't everyday players. If you ask me, we REALLY could use a right-handed power bat....a la Josh Willingham.

BigMar it wasn't particularly even ur comment. I agree completely we need another right handed bat... I can't watch Jose Lopez any longer, that man could ground into a double play with no one on.
Even actas quote though is about getting an of bat. With the way hafner is hitting lets not box ourselves into an of bat. we could plug in any right handed bat.

A lot of people wondering if the ‪#Indians‬ have the ammo in the farm system to complete a deal. They absolutely do and for any deal.

Hmmm....Not what I've been hearing from huber's sources...

So, a system can't be young/deep and be able to make a trade?

Why are those two things mutually exclusive?

You're not making any sense.
