Cousin was telling me it was to fix the online play.
Question for all of you association guys...
1. I've downloaded a roster that was posted, I believe a good one as the ratings are on par and it was ranked high, but I've sadly noticed that the announcer doesn't say Irving or Barnes (yes, I tanked well enough to get both #1 and #7). I was under the impression the names could be said in various cases and I thought Irving and Barnes would be in that area. Anyone have any experience with this? Am I crazy or just wrong?
2. Player Loyalty? So both Barnes and Iriving are listed as Not Loyal right now. Can this change or am I already screwed come contract time?

No, it was to add 3D support for 3D tv's and monitors, it also added alt uni's for 2-3 teams, there were no gameplay or online tweaks in this update
Check your options menu for the 3D settings
It is supposed to fix some online issues.
Scroll down to question 5. This was the Playstation blog but I assume it was for Xbox too. I won't find out until my Xbox comes back from from repair.

The information I got came out of the thread on the NBA 2k11 forums on 2k's website the day the patch came out so that is where my information came from, at work so can't link the thread

I think it was mentioned they didn't release all details at first; but I will say I was able to play my first online match (full 5v5 and not the mode where you control one guy) after they did that.
I kind of caught that they weren't listing all the features in the thread but it was one of the mods/admin that stated it was a non-gameplay effecting patch if I recall correctly but it is a good thing they tweaked the online play. I usally try and stay away from online with 2k games until at least 3 months after they are out so they have had time to work out the kinks

Whats with the online servers? I cant finish any type of game. My friends we all try to play together as a crew but the game always gets kicked? Does anyone have any info on the server and if and when it will be fixed

as far as the Irving and Barnes thing,it's more if they're programmed into the game.
For example,when i use my name in the My Player,the announcer can go 3pt Field Goal by Evan Cook" or whatever.Maybe it just depends on how common a first/last name is.Not really sure
They usually just say the number of the person if it's not in the game,or just their position.
Player Loyalty....doesn't really matter.Throw them the max and they'll probably resign once FA is up,you'll have Team options and them under RFA for 5 years so you're probably set.
