just had a great 10 player game, we were Dallas versus the timbewolves.

Our team had a great player as PG. i was dirk nowitzki managed to get 40points and 15 rebounds !

Ok I just rented 2K9 yesterday and have not played it yet. I don't want to go through all the pages but I did see someone post about dunking. Is it hard to do? What are the controls? I have a PS3 btw. Thanks!

I hate when people online take this game too seriously. Its stupid how they wanna talk to you on the mic, or friend request you or send you voice messages or when you win they talk a whole bunch of shit how I cheated and blah blah or what ever. I wanna play a quick 20 minute game.. I could care less if I win or lose.. and then get on with my life.. this game has no impact on anything. Its just annoying.

Anyone know how to frekin stop Kobe's spin move??? I am a 2100 star rank in NBA 2k9 about 78 win percent, I keep facing Kobe hogs, that keep spinning like zillion times to the hoop, I try to take charge, they spin around the player.

No matter what type of defense I play, zone, man-to-man they just get to the hoop, other wise, when I try to sag of a bit, they shoot a jumper that goes in 100%, lol. I tried putting different defenders, I mostly put LeBron on Kobe, still doesn't really work. I also tried blocking the shots, that works once in a while, but not enough to effect the ball game.

I really hate those kind of players, takes no skill, I can do the same with LeBron all day, I hate playing that way!!!

Any advice?

I guess you could just check the play tight option since you cant double on live, also try putting both your bigs inside when he tries to use the spin move

Hey I was going to ask if you guys needed sliders for this game?

I have me some decent sliders that fix the points in the paint issue, I don't seem to get more than 50-60 points in the paint ever with these but I do play on the hardest setting with 9 min quarters. It also fixes the issue with blocks/steals when you play the cpu, they won't average 8-12 blocked shots or 15-18 steals in a game, lol.

It also helps with absurdly high fg% you will get some time but they do make free throw shooting hard as hell though because ft shooting relates to the mid-range shot success slider. Let me know if you guys want me to post the slider settings and I will do it this afternoon after work.

Awesome. I'm tired of watching as other guys score like 70 pip. I wish they had better sliders for ranked games. I played a guy that got 24 steals on me a couple of days ago. WTH?

Yeah that gets annoying for me too. Pip gets crazy in this game and so do shooting % kind of wierd but it still plays better than any bball game I've played. The amount of steals and blocks annoy me too.

I've also got sliders for foul calls. It will actually call a loose ball foul once or twice a game with them and more reach in fouls as well, which is part of the problem with the amount of steals being high.

I will tell you though, free throws get a lot harder with the settings I'm going to post and you'll miss more close shots as well, it can get kind of annoying but it's a better reflection becasue you can't cheese it. If the free throws get to annoying turn on real player ft% it will fix it.

PIP is hard to fix in user Vs user due to the fact that a user can go into the paint as often as they want and with certian players in this game it's real hard to stop. Even more so if you know how to exploit the post players with the different moves.
